2020 Presidential Race

And he spent every bit of it under an investigation started by his political adversary. Not a normal thing that has happened in America before.
Bill Clinton was impeached for having consensual sex with an intern and lying about it, which also began as an investigation by a special counsel. The majority of his two terms were spent under some sort of investigation, whether it was a result of travel-gate, Whitewater or Lewinsky. Clinton left office in 2001 with a consensus approval rating that was over 60%.

I can't name 5 from anybody's cabinet. Not that important. Having said that, I would put up Holder and Lynch against any of them.
LOL! Wasn't "Drain the Swamp!" a big rallying cry for the Trump campaign in 2016? Wasn't it almost as big an applause line during Trump's campaign rallies as "Lock her up!" was? Yes... and every bit as disingenuous coming from the so-called "outsider" and those who claimed to care about rooting out corruption and self-dealing in our federal government. Trump pretended to care about corruption and so did his supporters... but it was all just an act from both sides.

The agencies and the government itself are so big that it doesn't make that much difference who is in charge. They can't turn this ship around. The people under the cabinet secretaries can't be fired, and they can do whatever they want.

None of that means that you have to appoint self serving types such as Pruitt, Price and Zinke to cabinet positions; nor is there an excuse for having such a clear conflict of interest case like Elaine Chao (Secretary of Transportation while she held $250,000 worth of stock in Vulcan Materials Company.). Are you kidding me? That is like something out of a banana republic.

This is my biggest concern.

Which is?

The question I would like answered is, where does the democrat party go once obstruction is proven to be false as well?

I didn’t vote for trump, but if you can’t at least admit the change in the negative press from the msm between how they covered Obama & Trump, then there is no point in having a conversation.

I know when I answer polls I say the complete opposite of what I actually believe.
...and I suspect you have done the same here. It's amazing all these posters who didn't vote for Trump, but yet feel the need to come to his defense when he is criticized.

I’m going by basically every poll. His poll numbers are way lower than they would normally be for a president with a strong economy. Because he’s a buffoon and too many people won’t overlook that. He can win, it just depends on the economy not faltering.
What poll numbers? The one from 3 months ago just release or the one with oversampling?

NM, they all have oversampling.

Scouts honor. I voted for McCain in 08 and Romney in 2012.

I wasn’t voting for Hillary and I voted for Rand Paul in the primary who didn’t get the nod. Didn’t have anything to vote for so I sat this one out.

I have no idea who any of these people are, other than McConnell's wife. McConnell is a swamp creature, but without quite the service longevity or ties as close to China as Biden, even though Mitch's wife is Chinese..

Some of us don't support Trump so much as we support the office. What we defend is that he was legally elected and don't believe in perverting the Constitution or other laws to unseat him. Beating him in 2020 is the better course of action.

Are you going to be equally concerned if Biden gets elected with his potential conflicts? Or nah no big deal?

If Biden or any of his cabinet members had a conflict of interest as glaring as Elaine Chao's, who owned $250,000 worth of stock in the nation's largest producer of road construction aggregates including crushed stone, sand, gravel, asphalt and ready-mixed concrete, while she was the Secretary of Transportation? Then yes, I would be concerned and I would expect him to be excoriated for it by the press and by his Republican critics. That is absolutely unethical and it defies a coherent defense.

How about Biden's son and his relationship with China and Ukraine?

I would have to look into that more... but for now, we should all be able to agree that the Secretary of Transportation owning stock in Vulcan Materials, is unethical and that should be unacceptable in our federal government. If you are working in a cabinet position for the purpose of enriching yourself, you are there for the wrong reason. This has been a common theme from Trump appointees, however.

Elaine Chao did not disclose this stock holding during her Senate confirmation hearing.... nor did her husband, who just happens to be the majority leader of the United States Senate. That is outrageous.

Uranium One ring any bells?

How about the Clinton Foundation or Paid speeches from Russia for 500K?

How about owning $250,000 worth of stock in Vulcan Materials while you are the Secretary of Transportation and while your husband is the Senate Majority Leader (which assured her confirmation to the post)? I'm not playing the 'what-about-ism' game. What Chao is guilty of is unethical. Period.

1) Google Rosemont Seneca Partners and state owned Bank of China.

2) Google Burisma 9Ukraine) and Biden.

3) Kerry is also in it to his eyeballs.

It goes both ways comrade. That's the problem with the swamp. How do so many politicians Repubs and DIMs get rich after or during holding office? Why do past Presidents get so much for speeches that nobody really cares about? Quid Pro Pro?
