Brad Powers' Early 2019 Power Ratings for all 130 CFB Teams - CFB - Forums - Pregame.com

Just posted his early ratings. He has Tennessee at 26 which is optimistic and I hope it's true.

Anyways, he also has Tennessee as the most improved team from last year, but still a 20 point underdogs to Alabama.

You can check out last year's ratings here for comparison:

Final 2018 College Football Power Ratings (No. 1 through No. 130) - CFB - Forums - Pregame.com

I know it's the off-season and every post will be beating a dead horse... Including this one. :)

If our O-Line improves and we stay healthy on the D-Line we can have a really good year imo. Our DB and WR core is loaded with talent and experience and imo JG will have a great season under Chaney.

The key to 2019 is the O-Line plain and simple. It kept us from bowling last year and it will be the difference between a 9-3 or 5-7 season.

My expectation for 2019 is 7-5 or 8-4. We have the talent and the experience imo. Hell if we can avoid the injury bug and catch a break or two 9 wins is doable, but I'm not that optimistic. KY and Auburn proved to me that Pruitt can get it done. Hopefully we take the next step forward this season.

I think a lot of people are over looking Weinke being back with QBs.

Yup, the man knows what it takes to be a successful OB. JG has the talent and the WRs to be successful. All he needs now is time to throw the ball. He was on his back so much last season the bottoms of his feet got sunburned.

I just hope that they’ve made huge jumps up front. The spring game didn’t show any improvement as sad as that is

Tennessee goes 10-2 with ONE break. 9-3 with no breaks and 8-4 with a bad call or major injury.

I like the receiving core we have. Have a little bit of everything. Def got the size advantage over most of the DBs in the conference with all of them being as big as a power foward

There's not a whole lot you can take away from the spring games. One thing is we didn't have all our guys here yet, so there will likely be more moving around while JP finds the right fits for his players. We should be fine for what we have this year. We won't beat anybody that matters but we should be able to beat pretty much everybody else. Right now we're still adding more talent to the skill positions and on the lines but we still lack the depth to beat the big 3 teams we play every year.

I think Texas A&M gives Clemson their only loss while their two losses will be to Alabama and LSU.

That would pretty impressive beating Clemson and UGA on the road. I have them with 4 losses. I have LSU being very good. I don’t think Texas will be as good as advertised. I don’t put much stock in the Sugar Bowl win over UGA. I’m not sold on OU and Hurts yet either.

I do think UVA is interesting at 10-2. The Coastal sucks. I’m assuming you’re thinking at least one of those losses is to Notre Dame and then I’ll take Clemson in the ACC Title game. I think overall the ACC is pretty bad this year, with Syracuse as the second best team .

I think Virginia loses to Notre Dame and Miami in the regular season. I could see a 10-3 Virginia team playing a 10-2 Florida team in the Orange Bowl.

I like your optimism, but 9 wins is a stretch. I think it will be more like 6 maybe 7 wins. Our O line needs to grow up before 9 wins is possible.
