Remember charger, the givers get more out of the giving than can be measured.I know no one asked but for my own sake:
It wasn't supposed to be like this. X amount in savings, X for extra and X in debt. Still shocked what medical can go through in such a short amount of time with "good" insurance.
My wife's career at one employer for 15 years, pay based on time with the company and that company goes into a tailspin after 40 years. New career but at around 65% of her previous pay.
You guys followed me through this. We cut all the expenses, sold things and slowly got some of the medical paid off, reaching a point of being "ok". But I was declining fast. I'm finally going the other direction by eating small bites every hour and constant rest. Aka, mandatory short term disability. Which mine pays 60% of your normal income.
"Ok" quickly became 'surviving' again and surviving doesn't include trips, hotels and meals for Charleston SC.
I just want to get back or at least as close as I can come. I have PayPal etc.. just trying to find anyway I can to not ask. Loan makers don't look favorably at small temp disability checks as proof of income. We're still trying this morning and if we should pull it off, just want you guys to know that even if I don't end up accepting a penny, the offers will never be forgotten.
Truly humbled and thankful, Joseph.
Bingo. Those who plan well in advance almost always have a very good experience. Try to wing it, and it usually turns out terrible. And I’ll admit the same for my family. We went last minute for a long weekend 2 summers ago, and didn’t enjoy it at all. But all the other times we went have been a blast, because we planned about 7 months in advance. My first trip was back in December with my wife and son for his 5th birthday. I totally expected it to be terrible with crowds, long lines, overpriced everything but it was really great. The difference was probably that we used an agent to book it well in advance for us including all lunches, dinners, and special shows.
I can definitely see how it could be a bad experience though. Eating cart food or from those quick restaurants would be pretty frustrating. I missed out on the giant turkey leg, though.
If one of those PWO's get placed on scholarship in their first 2 years on campus though, they count as an initial counter and have to be counted against a 25-man class. So they're pretty much blueshirts in that regard. Once they enter their 3rd year on campus, PWO's can get a scholarship without it counting against a 25-man class. Just the 85-man.One reason I personally love that this staff gets some serious talent in the PWO. Things like this happen, and you can take a PWO who could have played on scholarship at a lesser school and you show them they matter when one of the 85 opens up.
