You don't think the foundation that Chaney started to build help him any?He went from a 138 QBR to 163. From 7.3 YPA to 9.3. Massive improvements.
From 58th in YPA and 44th in QBR nationally (thus, "mediocre" or just slightly above average) to 8th and 6th nationally.
Didn't mean mediocre in a derogatory sense, just that he was fairly average under Chaney, then elite under Canada. And considering he only passed ~23 times a game (not that much), 7 more TDs in a season is significant.
I think the offense will surprise most people.

Also, I'm going to drink cheap beer just to piss @bignewt and @Big Gucci Sosa off.
I still keep hearing from Dawgs fans down here that we overpaid for Chaney. My take on Chaney is that he’s the kind of offensive coordinator that builds up teams to score 35+ points a game everywhere he goes but fans still come away expecting more. I recall all manner of complaining about him throughout 2012 on this board and that was one of the best offenses we’ve ever had.
not sure where that is but, if its in states, you could be in for a hell of a fine.
Fans always expect more. OL can allow the 2nd fewest sacks in conference but the second there's a sack allowed on a clutch 4th quarter drive, they suck. A playcall could be good for the situation but god forbid it fails on a 3rd and 2, or folks will be like, "See? Shoulda called for a pass."
It's only magnified when a team is a win or two away from the playoff.
