Last year my youngest was having an episode while I was walking out the door to go out of town for work. I told her "I'm gonna get to ATL on about 4 hours and I don't want to hear from your mother that you're still being a pill... You think you can handle that?"

She looked at me and said "Daddy, I can't predict the future!"

I laughed, told my wife you're on your own and walked out the door lol.

True. He also dgaf about position players. Little more emphasis on developing some David Justices, Ron Gants, Chipper Jones and Andruw Jones nets the Braves more than one WS.

Yankees capitalized on Steinbrenner’s “lifetime suspension” and built their farm system. They filled in a Scott Brosius and David Cone around their Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Andy Petitte core. We drafted pitcher after pitcher after pitcher and added Kevin Seitzer.

I could be wrong but I don't think so. Usually when they know something about that they publish it. There wouldn't really be any big secret about that.

Whereas if it was something like a commit, like a silent per se, they often say they hold the info so as to not to take away from the kids want to announce it.

If that's the case, Price should've done one of two things: Provided into while being vague "staff got a commitment from a receiver - info to follow when he announces" etc. Or he should've just not said anything at all - no empty thread hinting at something only to log off and leave everyone hanging. Especially when we're in this lull in recruitment and 75% of the fans are jonesing for information.

Ultimately irl it's a trivial thing, and not something to get worked up over, but it does serve as yet another reminder at what a bucket of crap Rivals, and VQ, really is.
