I don’t trust our rotation either. Teheran won’t kill us and love what’s he done this year, but I mean he’s not shutting down anyone either. Fried hasn’t been good the last three starts. Folty 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️.

Do you guys think we’d be just as mad at AA if he traded the Pittsburgh equivalent for Archer last year and Riley + top pitcher for Realmuto?

I just think he is terrified to make the wrong move. He came into a great situation, not usually the case with front office turnovers. And he doesn’t want to be the guy to put Daddy’s Caddy in the ditch. Can’t operate that way, especially in an organization like ours. He is gonna have to play his hand at some point.

I would take Realmuto over Riley. Still. Not that I don’t like Riley, I just think Realmuto is a better long term investment. I believe the book will get out on Riley and he is gonna come crashing back to us. I wouldn’t have shipped Soroka, but I would’ve sent maybe a Max Ace equivalent. And y’all know I love Max Ace.

My body is ready for a real catcher. Been way too long.

(And I’m not saying I am right for this)

Yeah, for sure. I guess what I’m saying is this whole thing is going to be results driven and we don’t have the results yet.

We’re not “going all in” this year. That’s obvious. We should be - and it’s slightly annoying that we aren’t.

But let’s see where this team goes, what they do at the deadline, and how the prospects develop. I don’t think these “fixes” we talk ourselves into are always the sure bet we want them to be.
