The athletic has a really good interview with Chris Steele giving his side of the story for those with a sub. Mostly about the second transfer being because his mom got laid off right when he transferred to Oregon so he wants to ease the burden on his family. Only thing he said about Florida was he needed to get out of a bad environment.

I've grown to really dislike Lebron. Partly because of the constant "GOAT" debates ESPN rehashes about him and MJ almost hourly, but mostly because I think if he ever had to play a game fairly called against him he'd have lesser numbers.

Never seen a player get away with so many walks and charges in my life (thus far) watching NBA ball.
The man gets fouled every time he goes to the rim and doesn’t get calls because he’s so big... but yeah I feel ya on the Lebron fatigue.. I tell people all the time, that if Jordan played in the social media era, he’d be the most hated man on the planet.

USC providing his mom a job? Good to hear about that environment at Florida… Maybe things will implode under Mullen.

Haha didn't mention that, only that his family wouldn't be able to travel to Oregon for his games and it would be easier for him to help out if he was there. There was one follow question that didn't get asked for some reason. He said when he transferred from Florida that USC didn't have a spot. But how they have a spot now was never touched on. I guess because he said he would have picked Oregon anyway because of relationship with coaches. And he expects to play this year. Which he probably will. I don't really like all the transfers but I get his reasoning on both. He is an extreme example but has way better reasons than guys like bru McCoy or fields or a bunch of others.

Shhhhh my boss is right behind me. Don't give him ideas.
Haha.
My wife once told me:
"There's a few guys at work, every time you walk by their desk, they're on that same website you're always on"

I told her to get their screen name and I'd let her know if she should suggest a raise or dismissal.

Facts. And I'm not saying he isn't defended differently, Shaq was as well. It's weird to me, you can't get near a guy like Harden but people used to elbow drop Shaq.

NBA officiating is the biggest joke of any level I've seen EVER.

What were their screen names?
And what happened to them?

I don't get why kids don't think about this ish BEFORE committing on the other side of the country.

Like he's got a full ride anywhere he wants to go, and as parents I feel like it should be pointed out "if you are more than 3 hours away chances are we miss most your games, even the home ones." These 17 & 18 year olds shouldn't be allowed to be making these decisions "on their own" it's why we see this new trend of OVER A THOUSAND athletes (already) trying to transfer via the portal since October...that's insane.

I've noticed that at two Nashville area (Berry Hill and Westhaven) Kroger's they've spread the "health foods" throughout the store. They've kept the old set up with dedicated "health food" sections at Brentwood and Green Hills. Maybe it has to do with store square footage, or average customer age, or both.
I honestly don't care what it has to do with. It is a massive inconvenience for me.

How is he supposed to predict his mother getting laid off. Or that his new college roommate that he was assigned would be sexually assaulting girls in their apartment?

easier to generalize and just say they shouldn't be allowed to do it?

thank goodness HT didn't have that constraint. lol.

You're telling me a kid from California didn't think about how much of a burden family travel to Florida (or even Oregon) would be BEFORE moving in to two separate universities?

I made a broad stroke because I was speaking in generalities...the thought was provoked by the Chris Steele situation but wasn't a direct comment on his situation.

But had he stayed close to home both of these transfers wouldn't have happened though.

It’s honestly amazing just general how bad America has greatness fatigue. I think it happens even more now with all the social media and sports shows. I hate Steph curry but even i can admit like man that dude is amazing. Idc what era or whatever he played in.

It’s like we have these generational players in all sports and after a few years we’re just like ehh cool.

the year i moved to KNO and went to Tennessee, my parents and youngest brother moved to Long Island NY, my other brother enrolled at MSU.

kids go off to college all the time. this situation is not special or unique, except that it was at florida and the pitch wasn't as good as the product.....the "situation" with family didn't devleop until after he went to Oregon, and he decided to go home as a result.

we make fun of it because it seems really fickle. but sometimes, circumstance does dictate.

the reason the transfer portal is full is not soley because kids went too far from home and now miss mama.
