The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

Also **** Steve Blass. Dude called Acuna a prick for no reason on TV. He should be fired

I don’t like to attach race or be an arbiter on the issue, but some of this is blatant racism. It’s pathetic.
Some of it is for sure, especially when people get grouchy about “flair” and I haven’t listened to the clip with the prick comment tacked on but speaking strictly on the jewelry I think it’s more a generational thing. I didn’t wear chains when I played 10 years ago and now all my guys do, most multiple. Black/white doesn’t matter.

I wore the extended wrist tape and I had a coach 15ish years older than me tell me we were playing baseball, not boxing. No need for all the show.

I just think old people gonna old people as long as there’s a world that everyone ages in. They can’t be on broadcasts tho

Edit: same for the guys who went double batting gloves, one for use and one hanging out the back pockets

Agree, I don’t think it’s rampant as much as it is generational gaps, but it seems a lot easier to attach it to dark skinned players.
