Slow down there humble brag.

I’m all for accountability with this group, and would be glad to report back on progress. Started walking/running again about a month ago. Also started lifting weights about two weeks ago. First time in more than 20 years that I’ve lifted anything outside of a basketball in a gym and first time I’ve ever been in a fitness center. Recovery was rrreeeeaaaalllll slow after the first two workouts. Better since. I have a guy who is helping me at the gym because I haven’t seen most of these machines before. Once I know what they do, Nick, I will give you a shout to see if you can help me with a plan. Would prefer to pay you than some dude at the gym.

I’m pretty happy at my weight. 6’3” 205 (Dan Patrick bell ding). But I wouldn’t mind fixing the fat/muscle balance. Not close to the single digits. At 42 and with 5 kiddos, I want to make sure I’m around and healthy so I have plenty of years to get to know my grandkids.

Low Carb?

I have cut out most of my sugar intake, eat one big meal a day, along with breakfast (oatmeal, eggs etc etc) I drink nothing but water all day long. I got so out of shape over the winter I couldn't hardly do anything without being out of breath. I couldn't get through one large bag of golf balls. I was taking two types of blood pressure meds. I bought me some Hoka shoes and started walking as fast as I could. I started hitting about 125 golf balls a day playing 18 holes and then 27 holes of golf, yard work and projects outside. I dropped 8 lbs from 218 to 210 I am no longer taking any blood pressure meds and hitting golf or playing golf about 5 to 6 days a week. feel so much better. my blood pressure last night was 123/61 before I went to bed. I will say have been under a lot of stress with my dad this past winter also which doesn't help with blood pressure.
