Only the top 16 get post-season other than conference championship games. I think that is too few. I like the bowl games, but do agree that there are too many.
Do a football NIT for the rest then. Haha I thought there were too many bowls in the 90s. I think there's 40 now. More than half the teams qualify. Seems a bit much.

Edit: there were only 20 bowl games in 1997. That seems closer to reasonable. The playoffs didn't ruin bowls, just the timing correlates with doubling the amount of bowls which is what actually ruined them.

All the extra bowl games make my bowl pools more interesting and don’t take a cent out of my pocket (except what I inevitably lose in the pools) so I am all for em.

so don't evaluate the kid, let him commit, and that's isn't lazier than actually conducting a camp and eavaluating him yourself?

you see the falacy there, right? coaches should just cuddle up and watch hudl and issue offers? lol.
Couldn't you take the commit now for momentum's sake and then recruit over him in season if things go well and the opportunity arises? There is a line of thought out there that suggests our staff is shooting for the elite players, of whom they may get 2-3, while back burnering second tier guys who wind going elsewhere, resulting in us having to take third tier guys to fill all the spots where we whiff on elite talent. I don't really think that's happening in every instance but that is the narrative that some people are running with.

Yep. should of bought from these guys to start with. I am getting refund for my unit and going to reorder from Cruthfield that way I will have their technical support if needed.

I'd also suggest talking to them about what you're installing it into as well. I -thought- I had the right unit for one vehicle and the dude helped direct me to the correct size. Even hooked up a free installation kit (usually about $10) just to make sure I'd have all I needed to get it in there since I wasn't sure what was present with the exist aftermarket stereo

Butch’s method. Yeah...let’s redo that. 😏

the guys that know they have spots, know they have spots. Tyler Baron can wait til Feb if he wants to. and he won't have to camp.

it would send the wrong message to take this kid's committment knowing that at the first chance to do so, you're going to recruit over him.
we're not in the position where we can "draft" players.

i'm of the opinion that if the kid wants to come here, he'll camp...and if he does well, and winds up being a fit for something this staff wants to do, his offer will be committable at some point.

but i'd always err on the side of honesty when dealing with a kid and his potential future landing spots in college. he may have a spot at another place, and for a kid like this, that is a question size wise, it may be best suited for him to take advantage of the sure thing, and we should encourage that, if we're not 100%.

the conversation changes the further up the board you go....i think this particular conversation is pretty easy tho, imo.
