2020 Presidential Race

Raising taxes on the wealthy and corporations just raises the cost of living and lowers the employment prospects for the middle class. And (just look at the AMT) those taxes on the wealthy trickle down to the middle class after a few years.

His SCOTUS plan is absolute lunacy. He would be giving almost absolute power to the judiciary.
How would that plan be giving absolute power to the judiciary? Seems to be the most balanced approach to me.

They will be putting in applications at MSNBC soon

Couple of anchors CNN needs to let go so they could almost be watchable...Lemon & Cuomo come to mind.
Wolf Blitzer has been there since 1980 I believe. Their top management could use some re-arrangement too.
Hell, I remember when Bill Hemmer was @ CNN who has moved over to the Fox News Channel years ago.

Pete's full interview with the Washington Post from last night. Knocked it out of the park, again.

I was interested. I haven’t paid much interest to the field yet.

Started watching and listened to him talk about impeachment in the first minute of the interview. And a few other goodies after that. Tuned out.

Another looney Democrat. Not interested.

CNN Continues Its Death Spiral As Ratings Collapse In Epic Fashion

CNN recently had Beto O’Rourke on for a town hall, otherwise known as a slobbering, in kind contribution. He was served up the normal platter of softball questions and fawning approval.

The problem for CNN (and Beto) though is that no one was watching.
Presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke is not only starting to appear toward the bottom in the polls, but his Tuesday televised town hall with CNN now holds the distinction of being one of the lowest in ratings for the network.

O’Rourke’s CNN town hall averaged 714,000 total viewers and 194,000 in the 25-54 demo, which means it came in third for both categories during 10-11:15 p.m. EST, according to early Nielsen Media Research.
It’s hard to describe how awful getting only 194,000 in the key demo is. Reruns of “My 600lb Life” on TLC compete for more share of the market than that. The Food Network routinely beats that number in head to head comparisons. It’s objectively awful.

But CNN’s issues aren’t relegated to just Beto O’Rourke town halls. They are currently in the midst of a major ratings collapse that’s affecting all their programing. In fact, they’ve now hit lows in the key demo that they haven’t seen since 2015.

Allowing the judiciary to pick their own would have the court stacked against us.

The judiciary is the enemy of the people and freedom, it’s lawyers and judges that make up the judiciary need to appointed by elected officials and they need to be term limited. In a perfect system lawyers would be barred from holding elected office.

As opposed to the system we have now, Pete's plan is much more fair. I'm cool with term limits for SCOTUS.

I urge all you leftists to ride that horse. Get behind him, on board... whatever... support him. It will be a great choice for America
Yep, he will be great choice for America. Glad you agree. \s
He is the future of the progressive movement. Make fun of him all you want, this dude will be in the White House some day.

Does he want to increase the size of the Supreme Court?
Yep. To 15. Five appointed by Republican presidents, five appointed by Democratic presidents. The other five are appointed by unanimous agreement among the 10 appointed Justices.

Wouldn’t this change require a constitutional amendment?

I think it would. Which means as good as it is (to some) it will never happen.

That’s where I’m heading with this. No matter how much you like this proposal, it’s not something a candidate can deliver on. Just red meat.
