Hi mandyleanne, Could you help me out? I think you know how to do this. On my post #376, there is an article I would like to post here, but do not know how. Could you do it? I think it’s an article most here would like. Thanks for your help. 🙂. Oops, just saw larjoranj fixed it.

Right click the address of the page you want to link, then click copy. Go to your message and right click again and then click paste. It will put the link in the message. You can click preview before you post the message to check and see if it's clickable.

Thank you so much, I am using an iPad so there’s really not a right click to it, like a mouse, but I will save your instructions, and try to figure it out, unless you have iPad instructions, thanks again for your help. 🙂

I have tried for hours tonight and couldn’t get the article headline to paste on VN, but this looks like much better instructions to post the website here, I’ll try again tomorrow and if I succeed, I’ll owe it all to you, will let you know. Thanks, Have a great night! 🙂

IF it makes you feel better I don't know WTH I'm doing either.....they say it's simple once you know what ur doing.

If you look at the last instructions larjoranj gave me, it helps. On my iPad, tap the website address, tap again to tap copy, then I got out of there, went to the safari spot that has all my last websites where I’ve been, got back into VN softball thread to post, tapped the blank space, and tapped again to tap paste, and it worked! I feel accomplished, I feel F R E E E E E.......! 😀

I'm FREE TOO!!! I did it w/a sports linked article about a baseball player & put the link in the OT Politics Forum.

I've never used an ipad so this is an educated guess. Find a pic you like on the internet. Since you tap a web address to bring up the copy option, I'd guess it's the same with a pic. Tap the pic and see if it brings up the option to Save the pic. If it does, tap that and save it. On a computer it will give you a choice of where to save the pic, such as My Pictures, Documents, Downloads, etc. There has to be a place on the ipad where it saves pics. I don't know what it's called.

Once you have a pic saved click on your username at the top of any Volnation page. Then click on Preferences, then click Your Profile, then click Edit Avatar (which should be inside a square box). Once you click Edit Avatar it should bring up a page that says Upload Custom Avatar and there should be a Browse button or a Choose File button (at least that's how it is on my computer). Click Browse or Choose File (it may say something different but similar on an ipad) and it should give you options of where you have pics stored. Find the pic you saved and click on it. It should load into the square avatar box. Then click Okay and it should save it as your new avatar.

That sounds very confusing and it may not be exactly how it is on an ipad. I use Firefox mostly and Chrome sometimes and it's a little different on each. You may have to play around with it a little. And it may help to write down the steps before you start. If this doesn't help try Youtube. There is a video on Youtube for almost everything. Good luck!

TaDa! Meet Leah, my new avatar. She is a Catahoula with gold eyes, and is one of my 4 pups, obviously friendly. larjoranj is teaching me about my iPad, and how to do things here. 😀. WTOB, may I call you that? I had pics on google photos, which had appeared there from pics I took on my phone, so I started playing around with them. I downloaded a few and they ended up on the iPad photos page that were where photos taken by the iPad itself were. That’s where the edit avatar choice would go, so, walla, Leah! Hope this helps you with your avatar edit, and thanks again, larjoranj! 🙂
