Yea. I have family in Brunswick that was telling me about how upset he was when he got shipped out. He just not long ago gave several million to his high school for facilities... I’m told he is a top notch guy. Very down to earth, he goes to church with my family when he is in town.

I know Wainwright was a good prospect and in hindsight yes that wasn’t great but imma defend my rival John Schuerholz there. Drew was awesome for the Braves and helped them win the division.

They won the division by at least 10 games, so they were going to win it regardless. They traded away a young ML starter AND about as good a pitching prospect as you can have for whatever Drew was going to do in the playoffs, where he pooped his pants and left town. I hated that trade the day they made it and I wasn’t wrong. I think Schuerholz made that deal because by that point he was completely in love with the smell of his own farts and thought there was no way that once anyone was a Brave he’d ever willingly walk.

We had just had Sheffield and Javy Walk. I think Eli Marrero was in that deal too and he was very good in Atlanta IIRC
