Contribute what? Taxes or to the economy?
Because they are different.
Example: business A makes 1 billion and employees payroll of 400 million. Business pays no fed tax due to write downs but does match payroll tax on 400mill and collects the taxes on its workers.
Without business 400 million in average of 20 percent fed tax rate does not exist.
Fed collects both personal tax and payroll tax to float ss and if business leaves or goes under losss that.
So business paid 0 fed tax but collected roughly 80 million in personal tax and over 28 million for ss fund.
Those employees then buy houses in area and eat at restaurants in area which Spurs local growth and economy.
Home taxes then help pay schools and local roads which provides jobs for teachers and local contractors.
And on and on. And this is the watered down version so your underlings could somewhat follow it.
But yeah.... that 1 billion business did nothing to contribute huh????
