I missed it. What happened to Geaux Vols?
He's always told us who he did the most work for - (Too honest)
Then he gave us a hint that a recruit was committing somewhere 15 mins before it became public. Visiting fans saw it and ratted him on on Twitter.

You would have thought he was giving out playbook pages or influencing recruits by the reaction. In reality, 20 message board posters knew we weren't landing a kid a few minutes before the world knew. And zero influence over anything 🙄

My experience in the theater may be playing a role in my opinion of this movie.

Air was out in the theater and it was 80 degrees. 7 or 8 year old little girl beside me was sitting Indian Style and was pressing her foot into the side of my leg. My asking her to stop didn’t even phase her. Lady sitting beside Jr was giving a play by play account of everything going on for her friends that obviously had never seen any movie ever.

I just wanted it to end

I hate going to the theaters. Chattering adults, people constantly getting up, little kids moving around and making noise. I'd much rather watch a movie on a big screen at home. Endgame and Infinity Wars are the only movies I've been to in the theater in the last few years. If it wasn't for spoilers I wouldn't have even done that.

One tip if you don't have kids or you're going without them is go to a late showing. Not many kids will go to a 10:00 movie which helps. Still lots of annoying adults out there though.

I'll be there this weekend - staying downtown near centennial park - best late night eats? Dive bars?

Late night eats: R Thomas' on Peachtreet St. It's open 24 hours, and the menu is really good.

Dive Bars: Johnny's Hideaway on Roswell Rd. It's a pretty fun crowd there, but if you go later at night during the weekend, be prepared to stand in line and wait (or pay $20 to the bouncer to walk in). It's well worth it - and even though you'll be paying about $10-$12 for a cocktail, Johnny's bartenders are known for overpouring their drinks to a ridiculous degree. Buckhead Saloon definitely has a dive feel to it. It's also where the UT Alumni chapter watches the Vols, so you'll probably run into some UT fans there. Five Paces Inn is another dive in the Buckhead bar area.

Yeah but you have to know when your in that position there probably is some agreement of non disclosure of particular information. It had no harm here but that doesn’t mean next time it wouldn’t have been more serious. Looking st it from LSU side they probably thought we have a leak in the building and lucky it wasn’t a bad one. However you always cut out a leak

What thread did this go down in?

Not disagreeing at all, of course they would. But you're talking about the university reaction. I was talking about rival fans thinking it was a big enough deal to do all that.
If I read tweet commit info on a rival board, I'd come here and tell you guys "great news, we're getting a commit!!"
Then I would check that board often as a source.

No way I'd sabotage a career over something so trivial. If he was hurting UT in any way, sure, I would then. But a man's source of income over that kind of thing? Nah, not me.

Yeah but have you ever met a rational person that smells like a corn dog?

I agree it’s probably not good form because it hurts with kids wanting to confide in you. However, I doubt there’s any formal agreement with the kids. LSU can’t officially announce the commitment, and I was not aware that he was working for any school. He just spoiled a kid’s moment of that is what happened.

Whoa Geaux got canned over some twitter backlash BS? geeze...what a world we live in, I hate HATE this new "troll" mentality.

I see it way too often used to be a forums thing and even then it wasn't everywhere or everyone. Now I'm seeing it in tweet replies, FB comments, YT comments, so annoying.
Yeah, I'm just used to how it is here and how it was most places before.
We read "inside info" elsewhere, we just come here and share the info. Hell, that person becomes a source for us also!
The reaction by them is probably the future everywhere but I don't care for it. Even if someone here done it to them, if it's trivial, that kind of action is just bull****.
We're all still people and fans of the same game.

That article needs a named source from UCLA which will never happen.

Believe that’s the same reporter from UCLA that kept claiming it was done... no now it’s done.... this time I’m serious it’s done.

So as mad as I was at Barnes (still not thrilled but moving on) this article sounds like dude is trying to cover his tracks.

So GV worked for LSU?

I don't think it ruined a kid's moment, not even close.
The kid still still had his moment, which was with their fanbase, not ours. GV softened the blow for around 15-20 TN fans on a TN site, not exactly thunder stealing.
The recruit still got to brag about how fun it was trolling TN fans, don't think he had his moment stolen in any way. Though since he wanted to troll us, I wish it had been.
