2020 Presidential Race

Obama noting that we still have a long way to go on race relations in this country is not divisive and is, as you put it, simply a fact.

Trump coddling, protecting, and when it suits him provoking those problems is the definition of divisive. He knows that his dog whistles and his wink-wink to the white nationalist ideology, even when embraced only lightly, is why he won and is key to winning again.

Trump know that his base is not sophisticated enough to see the root causes of rapid economic change, and so he makes it okay for them to blame anyone else but themselves for their personal lack of progress.

Obama saying police "acted as fools" absolutely caused alot of divisiveness. Ignore facts and blame the police was his method, which resulted in idiots burning buildings and police being attacked over his idiotic comments. Obama started all of this racial tension and divide and your left wing media is trying to push it to the extreme by pretending trump is a racist and anyone in a red hat is a nazi. Those are facts.

Police have often acted as fools. To ignore or deny that fact would have been more divisive and led to greater unrest. It was past time to seriously address the issue. Obama either to just happen to be in office when that time finally arose, or he expedited the arrival of that time. Either way, he's good.

You trying to make my point? I don't believe he was a great athlete nor do I believe he had bone spurs. I think he is and was a coward.

During Vietnam days there was a very liberal coward's march to Canada. Due to LBJ's strategy, the National Guard and Reserves became havens for many others who didn't want to see lush jungles. The whole idea of going too far west just wasn't very popular in those days ... Billy boy missed out on things, too as I recall; and I think you'd find more of his sort in congress.

I have respect for anyone who says that they dodged the draft because they disagreed with the war. I can think of few things worse than willingly taking the life of another for a cause in which you do not even agree.....just because your government told you.

If you didn't join you avoided service. I don't fault you for that but you have no right to criticize anyone else who avoided it too.

I was under no obligation to serve. Therefore, I didn't avoid service. So yes, I can criticize someone that used family connections to avoid service. That is something that I would not have done.

You're hypocrisy in full view right here.

Avoiding the draft in a time of war and not volunteering are completely different.

It's damned hypocritical of you to criticize anyone for not serving for whatever the reason. We have been at war since 2001 and I'm sure you could have been of use.

His greatest flaw, beyond all others.
His psychotic obsession with the accumulation of wealth, power, and fame: his willingness to do anything and everything to increase his accumulation, and most repulsive of all, his valuation of the worth of others based solely on their accumulated totals.
Live in poverty there luth old boy?

Dodging the draft and receiving a legal deferment are entirely different.

My dad was drafted but got a deferment because he was the only male child and due to health my gandfather couldn't run the farm by himself, is he a coward? @ClearwaterVol you can answer also.

Ask him about late term abortions and then justify his 'morality '
I'll answer for him. Late term abortions are horrible and should only occur in the case of extreme fetal deformity, critical concerns regarding the mother's health, or rape/incest.
One of the few things worse than late term abortions is forcing a woman to carry to term a nonviable fetus or sacrifice her life against her and her loved ones' wishes.
