Chicago Tribune Gives an ‘F’ to Warren’s Student Loan Debt Plan

The Chicago Tribune editorial board gave a failing grade to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) for her student loan debt plan, calling it too costly and favorable to the wealthy.

"Warren's plan would cost more than advertised, and it would shower federal largesse on millions of Americans who don't need it. You don't need a college education to understand why that's a bad idea," the board wrote.

The fact that the post says “details will be coming” is odd, too.

You would think 1) he would have prepared a full statement and 2) he would have gone through a more traditional news org. to spread the word.

(1) The shooting had ceased and the shooter was already fleeing. He didn't stop the shooter or the shooting.
(2) He missed the shooter and hit his car. This guy, as a border patrol agent, presumably had oodles of firearm training. If he missed, you want a bunch of beer belly weekend warriors whipping out their guns and firing indiscriminately at people?
(3) It appears he was hired security at the synagogue, not some random Joe who stepped in and played the hero.

From the write-up I found:

An off-duty Border Patrol agent working as a security guard fired at the shooter as he ran away, missing him but striking his getaway vehicle, San Diego County Sheriff William Gore said.

Too bad he missed. Sounds like he needs to spend some more time at the range. Pistols aren't very accurate at longer ranges, maybe he should carry a rifle.
