yeah, i can see that. that was the biggest surprise for me that 'the real war' was only 1 battle....

so i get that. but as for the rest of the story being about the throne now, i kinda like that. there's been two major themes, the iron throne and the coming of winter. one is resolved, the other is not.

plus, you got 3 really good episodes all about Winterfell, and the group of characters they got together for this battle was really cool.

and i get why some people are miffed about the arya deal, but i gotta say, i thought it was freakin' awesome......i mean your watching a couple of these characters die, mainly Jorah, and them boom Arya is in a death grip, and you're thinking...oh man, this is bad...............then, holy ****!!!!.

i was thoroughly plesaed with that episode. holes or not....loved it. and my advice for anyone complaining about how dark it was, turn the lights out in whatever room your watching it, and go full on movie theatre dark....i had no issues....

Agreed. I kind of wish we would have got more than 1 battle between NK and Winterfell but still it was 82 minutes of mayhem. I’m not sure my heart could have taken another 80 minutes of that.

Also agree on the darkness. My wife and I actually paused the show, turned out all the lights and turned up the brightness on the TV. It was completely fine after that.

I didn't think about turning up the brightness on my TV... I feel like an idiot now lol

Exactly...The Red Woman gave her the faith she needed[spoiler/]

Her line about closing eyes forever gave me goosebumps when she said "blue eyes." I knew it was coming but was so focused on Jon Snow that when she dropped the knife into her other hand I jumped up and fist pumped.

GOT...

Cersi being the big bad is one of those details that I feel I should have seen coming. Genuinely thought the Ice King would last beyond this episode but after "it" happened I was like, ooh...yeah....that makes sense.

Yep...they have all but been screaming this at us since the Jaime leaving scene last year. How is it that people are surprised?

that was a very cool scene, and when she said the line about what do we say to the god of death....yeah, i was fired up.

My wife jumped off the couch and screamed “Aryaaaa” and then started a slow clap. Lol. My jaw was on the floor and I just kept whispering “oh ****”.

My friend text me and said “Last episode Arya got the D, this episode Arya gave the D. Lol.

"And what do we say to Death?"
That should go down as one of the all time greatest moments, and those two played it absolutely beautifully and perfectly[spoiler/]

You mean someone the character who spent half of the entire series training to be a covert assassin used those very skills to kill the Night King? Thats crazy man
It's how she did it not WHO did it. The 12 or so in the library heard her blood drop and rushed to her, but magically she can teleport? What the hell she jumped from, the walls are pretty far back from where Bran is located.

She passed 1,000s of them and Generals on top of that...to materialize from thin air behind the NK?

No where did her training to be an assassin show that. What did she start training with Nightcrawler or a Jumper?

Bad writing.

eh, it's a fantasy series....i think some people just try to take things way too seriously sometimes. at the point in the episode where we're watching Theon and Jorah die, everyone is getting swarmed, Jon is about to get lit up by the blue dragon............all is basically lost.

and yeah, there's likely no chance anyone should survive that battle....like none.

but it's a TV show about a fictional fantasy world..........so why can't Arya fly out of the darkness and kill the NK? point being, i wouldn't try to ground to many things about the show to any "reality".....lol.

besides, it was freaking awesome.

Running past the wights and white walkers wasnt that big of a feat. Greyjoy just did it and they all sat there. Their command was to stand down. They did. It's also louder outside than in a library surrounded by stone walls.

Read that it is the 3rd time in 5 years that Tennessee did not have a player drafted. The SEC set a record with the most drafted even though we didn't have any. This is unbelievable.
Adding insult, some, like ESPN and 247, have been happy to point it out repeatedly.
Of course our coaches can point out their own record with the draft and that they had nothing to do with the current situation.
Just sad they have to waste time doing so. Just 1 more obstacle no matter how minor. All kids are different and some will keep it in the back of their minds, even though they shouldn't.
