A bunch of those 4 stars BJ brought in were a show, and didn’t have a lot of real offers from our biggest rivals. You add the lack of talent in with a total lack of development and this is what you get, an embarrassing draft for UT football.

Taylor will be the first one off the board for us. I think Dom has a real chance to have a big year and get drafted under Chaney. He has great athleticism.

Personally I think Admiral is our best NFL prospect lol. It won’t happen but he has the build of a Tony Gonzalez/Antonio Gates type tight end.

#DrewRichmond...everyone likes to talk about Drew’s stars but he didn’t have a commit-able offer from Bama and the big boys. That’s why he ended up with us.

I think we can get to 8, but that’s only because other teams like Mizzou, Vandy, KY, and MSU are going backwards

My heart wants to say 8, but my mind (conditioned as it is by the last ten years) tells me to stick at 6.5. I was at 5.5 last year and that was confirmed. I’m at 6.5 this year.

I think we can beat all of those teams you mentioned for sure when you look at them individually, I just think it may be too much to ask for us to beat them all in the same year. Every year every team has let down games that don’t go the way you’d expect. We are no different. To get to 8, Pruitt has to be almost perfect in “winnable” games. Hard to do!

I have quietly wondered if many of our best rated players in recent years sort of fell to us because the schools we “beat out” backed off or their offers weren’t otherwise commitable. That’s the only way I can explain so many busts. Hard to pick which ones individually but I have wondered if it is more than a few.

Drew Richmond, Darrin Kirkland, Shy Tuttle, Kyle Phillips, Jalen Hurd, Venzell Boulware, Preston Williams, Kahlil McKenzie all had real offers and real options. Just poor development of talent, and most of those were in one class.

How do you know this? I actually know someone who played college football with a coach at MUS. I don’t think this is correct at all.
