So who do you think could be potential high draft picks from UT next year?

We'll have Jennings, Callaway, Johnson, and Byrd as WRs all graduating...

People seem to think we have slow WRs, I actually think the fact they so often have to wait on balls or JG doesn't have time in the pocket is why they rarely get to show their speed.

I believe Callaway and Jennings have the potential to be special, good size and speed, but they have to be more consistent than they have been. At this point they would be mid rounders at best imo.

Really? Why don't we have Spanish restaurants? What are some good things?

Most cities do have Spanish restaurants. But to be honest, I've never been impressed with Spanish food....until I went to Spain.

The biggest draw for Spain/Spanish food to me is that its inexpensive and delicious. Drinks are cheap, too. To eat well in France you have to spend crazy money. But in Spain you can have an awesome dinner for cheaper than what you would pay at a chain restaurant in the USA. And pretty much every restaurant you stumble into in cities like Seville and Madrid is going to be very good, because everywhere else is good and they won't survive if their food is subpar.

Callaway at 6'2" and 200+ running 4.5s, if he has a productive year (Malone type year) he'll get drafted top 3 rounds I think for sure.

Jennings is 6'3"+ and 220s probably runs 4.5-4.6 range....his size, "dog" and the fact he's still so raw to WR could help his stock, especially if he has some production this year.

That tweet posted doesn’t really answer the implied question. MSU had the #2 rushing defense in the nation, the #7 passing defense, the #1 total defense, and the #2 scoring defense. That’s why they have 3 first round draft picks – all from that side of the ball. They never gave up more than 28 points in any one of their 5 losses.

And they had a top 20 rushing offense, in large measure because they had a QB who rushed for well over a thousand yards. Their passing offense ranked #112 in the nation. So if you were a relatively good team on defense, Kentucky, Florida, LSU, Alabama, Iowa, you just shut down their running game and they can’t move the ball nor can they score any points.

I think it could be argued that MSU was even worse on offense last year than we were against good/decent teams and that’s because they were so demonstrably one-dimensional they couldn’t even get occasionally lucky in the passing game.

Obviously the defense is going to regress this year by some measure yet to be discovered but their offense was expected to improve overall with this being the second year of Moorhead’s system; however, according to the writer at SDS covering the spring game, their new quarterback greatly underwhelmed and their receivers suck. Their offensive line wasn’t too impressive either.

In the three common opponents we had with MSU last year (KY, UF, & UA), they scored a combined 13 points and gave up 65. We scored 66 total in those 3 games and gave up 112.

In addition to losing 3 first round draft picks from their defensive line and their all-star running back who was masquerading as a quarterback I think they also lost 2 interior offensive linemen, including their starting center, and 3 guys out of their secondary, including both starting safeties.

While a lot of questions remain for both of our teams coming into this year at the moment I don’t see any reason not to think this is a winnable game for us this year, especially since it’s at Neyland. jmo.

The biggest issue with MSU's offense was that Fitzgerald wasn't nearly as explosive running the ball after his leg injury, and he's an inaccurate passer who was just bad at making the kind of snap-second reads in a RPO offense that Trace McSorley could at Penn State. It was clear that about midway through the season, Moorhead gave up trying to turn Fitz into McSorely and decided to just ride or die with Fitz running the ball.

Callaway was listed at 4.5 outta HS...but I'm not sure how to confirm anyone's speed unless they run at the combine. Even Pro Days are word of mouth it seems.

I will say this if either of them is invited to the combine and does run in the 4.5s it'll greatly help their stock.

If you ever come to Asheville, NC, check out Curate. Owner Katie Button worked at El Bulli in Spain before they closed.

I would think both are in the 4.6 4.7 range.

I took my parents there for their 40th anniversary.
We've all been to Spain.
It was sooooo good. And really authentic. Expensive, but for being in the US, worth it. Cheaper than four plane tickets back to Spain.

Good lord that looked like pure hell being in that Nashville crowd swarm last night. What if you had to tinkle?

Traffic on the interstates around Nashville has been so bad since Wednesday afternoon that it has caused a lot of locals to use regular streets during rush hour, and has made it really difficult to get anywhere without some serious zigging and zagging on the back streets. And I live out in west Nashville, so I can only imagine how bad traffic has been close to downtown, since traffic is awful even without big events. Fortunately I started working from home about 1 1/2 years ago, so no longer have to deal with getting in and out of the downtown area.

Same for Peru. American sized dishes for 1/3 of the price.

agreed. i do think Thompson is going to be a pretty good QB for MSU when all is said and done. he's got pretty much all the physical tools, and is a bit sneaky on the mobility front.

I live in West Nashville as well and luckily I work in Brentwood and take back roads anyways. I’m the exact opposite since I don’t have to go toward downtown where traffic has actually been much faster getting to work because a large portion of employers let employees off early yesterday and are closed today due to the draft. Yesterday and this morning were the fastest commute times I’ve had all year.

I’ll be surprised if Callaway is a 4.5 guy. He’s never really looked like a burner. But I’ve been surprised by plenty of 40 times before.
