I've seen Captain Marvel and it was good. I don't know if I would put it in Tier 1 though. It's between 1 and 2.To me it's hard to do a "top 3" or even "top 5" list for MCU films, I think it's easier to break them into a 3 tier system.
Tier 1 Films: (Great films, can all be the "best" of the bunch depending on mood/taste/preference)
Iron Man, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War
Tier 2 Films: (Good films, but nothing that sets them a part)
Iron Man 2, Captain America: The First Avenger, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-man: Homecoming, Ant-Man and the Wasp
Tier 3 Films: (the bad ones)
The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World
Unseen:
Captain Marvel
Avengers: Endgame
That's my breakdown at least, oddly enough even the Tier 3 MCU films are still better than the majority of DC movies. You remove the Nolan Batman Trilogy and DC has struggled pretty hard.
either way, it all boils down to it was "all about him" and how he felt...how it affected him. Cap is not a big picture guy. that's why Tony is the CEO of the Avengers and Cap is a middle manager....he's a great middle manager. he just thinks he's a CEO.....and when he didn't get his way, he bolted.
siap, but IM3 was the worst imo. i didn't hate it either. i hated going to bb to pick out movies w/my wife. we'd be in there for an hour. lol.
I was telling my wife after end game, that I am going to buy all the movies so that I can watch them in order. Now, I don't know what order that is, but I will figure it out.Agree for the most part with @MoCo_Vol in his tiers, with a couple exceptions. Please excuse my nerding out.
My MCU Film Rankings:
----Bad Tier----
21. Incredible Hulk (easily the worst)
20. Thor: The Dark World (Shakespearean-soap opera, arguably worst MCU villain)
19. Iron Man 2 ("Where's my bord?")
18. Thor (Geez, they bleached his eyebrows. And he likes coffee. All I remember)
----Decent Tier----
17. Captain America: The First Avenger (fine)
16. Ant-Man (Luis is the true hero)
15. Ant-Man & The Wasp (More Luis)
14. Dr. Strange (Marvel tries to meet Inception, meh CGI)
13. Avengers: Age of Ultron (Loved intro to Vision, hated the plot/Thor's vision-bath. Ultron could've been much better villain)
12. Iron Man 3 (Actually liked the PTSD storyline & the fake-Mandarin reveal, but not great overall. Tony blows up suits, acts like he's done, then proceeds to quickly after create Ultron)
11. Captain Marvel (Good movie, possibly killed the chance of Secret Wars tho. Little too much Fury for my taste.)
10. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Best MCU intro ever w/Groot dancing. Not quite up to the first one, though)
9. Captain America: Civil War (great intros to Black Panther/Spidey, loved the airport scene, but plot is a little iffy at best. Govt. blames Avengers for all this damage, despite Govt. shooting a nuke at NYC in Avengers 1. Zemo's whole plan revolves around IronMan seeing video of parents killed by Bucky in remote Siberian location, despite there being a real strong chance IronMan doesn't follow Cap/Bucky there.)
8. Spider-Man Homecoming (They finally got a kid to play a kid! Vulture was good. Pretty slow movie though)
----Top Tier----
7. Iron Man (Started it all. Still a fun watch)
6. Black Panther (Lacks humor, but best non-Thanos villain yet in Killmonger)
5. Thor: Ragnarok (They saved Thor's character! Very funny)
4. Captain America: Winter Soldier (Great fights/action scenes in elevator/on boat. Marvel meets Bourne movie.)
3. Guardians of the Galaxy (Had such low expectations, absolutely delivered. Characters all play very well off each other. "We Are Groot!")
2. Avengers: Infinity War (Epic movie, great ending)
1. Avengers (Personal favorite, seeing all of these heroes together for the first time)
Fully expect Endgame to jump to the top of that top tier. Can't wait.
BB brings back so many memories. Technology has advanced really fast.Getting a movie and a week long Super Nintendo game from Video Movies To Go in Halls are some of my favorite memories as a kid. Occasional steps up to get a game from Blockbuster in Fountain City...man that was like a mini Christmas.
That and birthday parties at Mr Gattis.
Bucky had no memory of the event and Steve saw the mysteriously recorded event out in the middle of nowhere the same time as Tony. So it was stop Tony from killing Bucky or watch Tony kill Bucky. I think he handled it right.in civil war. he was stubborn as hell...and when it came to protecting Bucky vs. what happened to Tony's parents....just thought he didn't handle that right at all. doesn't mean i agreed with Tony.....but CA could have done a whole lot more to difuse that before it ever became a thing. selfish on his part to just hope it wouldn't ever come out....
but then the moive would have sucked. so............................ lol.
he knew about it before that particular altercation...and decided for himself to keep it to himself....i'm not saying tony was right either. he was wrong too...Bucky had no memory of the event and Steve saw the mysteriously recorded event out in the middle of nowhere the same time as Tony. So it was stop Tony from killing Bucky or watch Tony kill Bucky. I think he handled it right.
