They leave so much out of the show that much of the story is lost. Plus, GRRM stopped writing the last books to consult on the show and that really pissed me off. The show took the books away from me and I cannot forgive that egregious slap in the face.
I completely agree about GRRM losing his priorities. I have zero confidence he will even finish the series now. Chaps my butt a lot.

They are all terrific. I am likely ready to read them all again. I read the first five many, many years ago and then stopped reading. I started over when the A Memory of Light came out. That has been a few years ago. I absolutely love Sanderson. I have read many of his books. I think he did an awesome job finishing the series.

I agree that Sanderson did a great job and I like his writing style. I especially like how he packed a lot into those last few books and moved the story along quickly after it had stalled a bit in the preceding books.

I loved Robert Jordan but he did tend to get carried away with descriptions. It made for great character and setting development but caused a couple of books where not a lot happened.

?
I don't get it.

Well said and I agree partly about Mat. I just think Sanderson didn't really capture Mat's humor and it seemed forced. Overall, he did well and I'm appreciative to him for finishing such an epic series.

It is amazing how well GOT has nailed the characters. Nearly all are as I pictured them when reading the books.
IMO the hardest thing a WoT will have to do is get across both the difference, and symbiosis in Saidar and Saidin. It is an abstract concept, the books are in their head so you can imagine and visualize it better.

I don't care about that move, but I guess I have to see it before Avengers End Game
i took my kids to see it last friday. and that was my attitude toward seeing it.

came out pleasantly surprised. i was entertained. as to the thanos/infinity stone story line, not sure it matters all that much. you basically already know what you need to know w/out seeing the movie.

i just dont' think people should take these super hero movies so seriously.......lol.

the only one i've watched in recent memory that i just didn't like was IM 3 and Aquaman. and yet i was still moderately entertained with both. lol.

captain marvel was better than both of those fwiw........

Iron Man 3 is awful. On the same level as the hulk movies. it isn't worth watching. By far the worst of the Marvel movies and it isn't close imo
