It's about dragons and stuff...right. Looks like Lord of the Rings to me, and I was only able to see the very first movie. When I was younger I did like Dungeons and Dragons, but then I grew up...lol
You mean if I grow up I lose Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones? I’d probably lose Avatar, too! Well! Guess I’ll just never grow up then!

When did you get the name change? Threw me off for a sec.
LOL, apparently within the last 24 hours.

I mean, it's all anyone referred to me as on the first place...other than an occasional other four letter word 😂😂

Just easier, sort of like when @Glitch changed shortened his name...

Also, thanks @Freak

Further, the key to Wheel Of Time will be getting Mat and Nynaeve right. I like Sanderson's ending of the series but felt his writing of Mats character was a little forced and didnt really capture his personality.

Can't believe I just quoted myself...
I disagree about Sanderson's writing of Mat, I think in order for Mat to get to where he had to be by the end, he had to quit vacillating. I agree he did change some, but just like Rand..he had to change..or maybe better said...they had to grow.

To your main point though...That is the straight truth, but I would take it further, the characters in that story are sooo well defined, that is the beautiful part of that story...the personalities. I really hope Amazon does it justice. The great part of GoT is that not only is it produced very well, but they capture the essence of each character exactly as you imagine them in the books.

Well said and I agree partly about Mat. I just think Sanderson didn't really capture Mat's humor and it seemed forced. Overall, he did well and I'm appreciative to him for finishing such an epic series.

It is amazing how well GOT has nailed the characters. Nearly all are as I pictured them when reading the books.

I’ve got the first book in my queue on Audible.

Another series I’ve been waiting on is The Kingkiller Chronicle. Lionsgate and Lin Manuel Miranda (the guy who wrote Hamilton) have been spinning up an adaptation for a couple years now.

Love me some Kvothe...worried that series might end up being GoT 2.0 (and we wait 8 years between books). I guess we're lucky it's supposed to just be a trilogy and he's already put out the first two though. I love the story so far though, Rothfuss is amazing.

The best thing would be to wait till this season is over, then get HBO for one month and watch the whole thing and then cancel...that way you can also watch True Detective season 1 and some other good content too while you are at it.

WestWorld, True Detective, Deadwood, Band of Brothers, The Wire

HBO has some great series....I need to catch-up on most lol
