As for last night's GOT episode, I thought it was fantastic and the perfect calm before the storm. I have been waiting years to see those interactions....and I'm talking all the way back to 2001 when I read the first few books. Despite what happens next, I will forever be in awe that they have done so well adapting the series to TV.

Further, the key to Wheel Of Time will be getting Mat and Nynaeve right. I like Sanderson's ending of the series but felt his writing of Mats character was a little forced and didnt really capture his personality.

This board doesn’t steer me wrong with food often. Headed to St Louis next week. I’m looking for restaurants in the $15-$20 per person range. I’m taking the in-laws out to celebrate the wife’s graduation from NP school, want it to be nice but not crazy, saving that for just the two of us haha

Charlie Gittos Italian in Downtown St Louis is good and inexpensive.

If GoT feels like political espionage then the Black Company is militaristic espionage. The first 3 books are so good with slowly revealing details of the Taken characters like The Limper.

Eliza Dushku is supposed to play The Lady. I just haven’t heard much since it was announced over a year ago which makes me think those were premature announcements. Luckily the success of GoT opens doors for more adaptations like Black Company.
