Yes cable was in it's formative stages with much of rural America just catching up...but..It consisted of almost no original programming. What most channels programming outside of MTV consisted of was old network series in syndication and sports. You guys know cable was nothing against the big networks, and MASH was/is one of the goats.Haha, ya'll are terrible.
By 1983 there was cable in over half the homes in the US. And 28 major networks.
I hear they were driving cars also.
As far as Mash, the most impressive thing was probably no streaming. Maybe some recorded it but to be counted, that many people actually had to make sure they were home in front of the TV, at the exact time.
I’m expecting Tennessee to be much improved in year two under head coach Jeremy Pruitt. Tennessee might be the most talented team BYU faces this season. It will be a difficult matchup. The good thing for BYU is that the crowd will likely be half asleep, especially if it’s an early game. These matchups are great for BYU, but the host Power Five school usually doesn’t have a hyped up crowd for when BYU comes to town. Wouldn’t expect anything different heading into Knoxville. Too much talent for the Vols for the Cougars to come away with a win.
Cable was nothing but a bunch of re-runs and regional sports back then. It was never taking any numbers away from the big three back then...ever.Haha, ya'll are terrible.

I hope Amazons "Wheel of Time" is good...I love that series way more than ASoIaF.
I know...man I love that series. My favorite book series of all time. Could be amazing if done properly and with a high enough CGI budget. Not nearly as unpredictable as GOT but much better character development and stronger attachments to main characters. I really hope they don't go too young adult CW style with it.
As for last night's GOT episode, I thought it was fantastic and the perfect calm before the storm. I have been waiting years to see those interactions....and I'm talking all the way back to 2001 when I read the first few books. Despite what happens next, I will forever be in awe that they have done so well adapting the series to TV.
