Tonight's episode of barry was so good

I need to get caught up. Had no idea S2 was even going on until last night. That show is great. Reminds me of Dexter with the dark humor...though I was probably laughing at more Dexter scenes than the writers intended.

Those numbers are so insane that I think they are exaggerated. Probably pushed by HBO to create stricter piracy laws. The fact that most piracy comes from illegal streaming sites seems dubious because those are easily shut down.

As of a couple years ago, (dunno if they changed their stance since) HBO was in the camp of "the more eyeballs on our product, the better". The streaming industry has gotten a lot more competitive since, though, so who knows

I was afraid they were gonna "Eragon" it, and was not interested in seeing that happen. I don't mind people not liking it, my wife isn't a fantasy buff either, but I despise the snide superior jagoffs acting like they are better because they are too cool for fantasy.

how can it lead to a deeper value if there is no objective reality or morality? If it is all subjective then there is nothing inherently wrong with murdering a man, raping a child , etc. There are 2 miracles that must be considered that we all believe in. The creation of matter, time and space... the beginning..... and the creation of life. One must believe it was caused or uncaused, both miracles. If it was caused then to avoid an infinite regression you must end at a final uncaused source which many believe to be a creator. The origin of information seems to me a very formidable defeater for proponents of the uncaused. They are subjects worth thinking about for sure

I heard this discussed on local radio a couple of weeks ago. The viewing audience for the first GoT this year was 17.4 million people. The final MASH episode had over 100 million viewers.

There were three channels then and no youtube or the host of other entertainment venues. Considering the amount of competition...that GoT number is incredible.
