Completely off topic but is anyone coming to Nashville for the draft? I took the day off to go to Broadway & study my bible (aka drink a ton of beer by 10am) and would love to meet up with yall. GBO
Buddy of mine is flying out from Austin because he's a raiders fan and they have 78 first round picks. I'm a little jealous.

Starters will be fine. Folty comes back next week, Fried has been awesome, Soroka was great today and last year. He has all the potential in the world. Gausman is reliable, a good starter. Julio has been great this year for all but 1 inning. He's fine.

So the rotation is fine, its the bullpen that is awful.

Do we sacrifice Folty as a starter and put him as a closer? He can hit triple digits when he wants to. Gives him the chance to let it fly one inning instead of saving his stuff 5-7 innings.

Honestly, I'm not sure it's the "best" situation for this season, especially early in the season, but I think it's the smartest plan long term for the team to star both Morris and Wright.

Trial by fire is rarely something I'd want in an offensive lineman...especially two of them, but I think Pruitt, Chaney, and Friend are looking for long term foundation pieces moving forward so it makes sense to put the 5 stars in a position to earn their keep early on.

By mid season I think they'll both figure it out. I also feel that if Trey does return he'll be best at guard. His freshman year there he was far more of a force than when he moved to tackle.

My projected starting line

LT - Wanya Morris
LG - Trey (if healthy)/Carvin if not
C - Brandon Kennedy
RG - K'Rohjn Calbert
RT - Darnell Wright

Feel like it's the best time to get youth playing...that line would have 2 freshman and 2 sophomores with Kennedy being the only upper classman (if Trey's not playing). I like Carvin a lot from what I saw of him last season, and hope he can earn an interior spot.
All good points, and I agree with your projected lineup. Only thing I’d interject is that in my opinion this “freshmen need to sit til they learn” gospel is outdated. Your top 5 star and 4 star OL have run the gamut of camps, coaching clinics, personal coaching sessions and all-star events. They’re virtually CLEP tested to another level by the time they’re college freshmen. In our particular situation I’d rather have the physically capable talent smoothing out the rough edges over the schooled, learned option who 100% understands WHY he’s getting his azz kicked!

Noticed Tom Morello is touring. Just listened to his solo album and it is definitely a huge departure from anything Rage. Lot of DJs (Pretty Lights, Aoki, etc) mixed in, Big Boi on a track. Gary Clark Jr on one track. Just very different overall. Not sure how I feel yet. RaTM live is a true bucket list item for me, but not sure if I will walk up the road to see this live.

Yeah, play for the future. Get reps. Not going to be a defining season regardless, but 20 & 21 will be!!

Couple that with a manager that loves using the bullpen after 6 and that spells disaster.

True. TN has allowed other programs catch up and top programs have left us
The truth is outside of 1989-2001, we haven't consistently been anything special in terms of dominance since segregation ended. If you go back to 1972, which was the first season all college football teams were integrated we are No. 18 nationally in wins with 368, which is good enough for 6th in the SEC behind Alabama (No. 4, 425); Georgia (No. 7, 406); Florida (No. 10, 395); Auburn (No. 16; 378); and LSU (No. 17, 369). The good thing is we are all kind of log jammed in there, there's only 57 games separating us and Bama, when we cycle back to power we can make up a lot of ground on a lot of teams in a decade or so.

From my experience

Alabama - the real ones that have been through the Shula days and late 90s aren’t THAT bad. The bad fans are the band wagoners, and they’re all just dumbasses, just laugh and ignore them.

Florida - without a doubt the worst in the country. Classless trailer trash. All of them. I know every fan base has bad seeds but with UF the ENTIRE fan base is a bad seed. These fans honestly deserve to have their program shut down because they don’t know how to handle success

Georgia - definitely the most delusional. They’ve never really won anything of importance but act like they have the greatest program in CFB

Kentucky - only annoying during basketball season. I’m pretty sure they know their place in football at this point. Their success depends solely on how they perform against us

Vanderbilt - all 14 of these morons have a pathetically low football IQ. They need to just stick to education because they don’t understand the game at all

Auburn - as people they’re not bad but they tend to hold a grudge and don’t know how to take jokes at all. Probably the softest fan base out there

LSU - literally the exact opposite of Auburn. Some of them are trash but others are okay, especially the ones that travel with the team. Great cooks too.

A&M - not sure, but I’ve heard great things

South Carolina - opposite of Kentucky. They don’t know their place and act like you can actually win a national title at their program.

Mizzou - fakes. Every one I’ve met in person is extremely nice but their fans on twitter, etc are horrendous trash talkers.

Ole Miss - no experience there but I’ve heard bad things

Mississippi State - from what I’ve heard they’re the nicer of the two MS schools

Arkansas - morons. All of them. Like Vandy, they don’t understand the game of football at all. Only difference is there’s more of them and they’re not as educated
Your take on Arkansas fans is way off. Their are idiots in every fan base especially ours. I live in Arkansas and all the people around here that are football fans are always respectful. The might pick at me a bit but they all just like to talk football and are usually very knowledgeable about it.
