Mueller Report Imminent

Barr has sole control over the report for now. Obviously you have to redact some of the report that gets released to the public but Congress should be allowed to review an unredacted report behind closed doors. Mueller isn't hiding anything in fact Mueller's team came out to dispute Barr's summary on the report. That's a huge deal! Mueller was mums the word for 2+ years never giving a hint. Mueller's team said the report is far more damning than Barr was letting on.
Mueller's team breaks silence, suggests report is more damaging to Trump than Barr let on
No .. “anonymous sources say “

And every one of them quote anonymous sources "close to" the investigation. Some of the "people" quoted are 3rd hand anonymous sources.

No one from Mueller's team or even Mueller himself has come out and said they didn't say anything.

If congress gets an unredacted copy I hope one is released to the public. Barr is damned if he does and damned if he don't, there will be a legal battle regardless.
The gang of 8 needs to do their job too. Oversight is important and only after they decide should congress see it. I agree with your point, there are a lot of elected officials that would spin it like a top.

Screw the gang of 8.

If congress wants oversight of SC investigations pass the pre '98 law that governed them.

I understand both sides here. The optics of a redacted version aren't the greatest. At the same time, the law exists for a reason.

Even if a full version gets released, next they'll want the notes. Then they'll want tape and footage of the interviews. Then they'll want all the investigators to speak publicly. Then they'll dig up a disgruntled investigator. Etc etc etc.

I'm sure a full unredacted report wouldn't answer all my questions. At some point they will realize that there is nothing impeachable and the "witch hunt" will end. It wouldn't be wise to pursue a fruitless endeavor in public after that point. Kinda like the FISA abuse allegations. I'm betting there is probably something politically damaging in the report though.

Shocker

I said I don't like Trump is not an answer! How is your life worse?
I have to live with the realization that I live in a country that knowingly nominated and elected Trump.
As far as dollar bills in my wallet (which is the redhatter's only metric), I told you, I'm Trump proof - in the short term. No one is Trump proof in the long term.

Strange how no one on the board mentions exploding national deficits these days..

They’re too consumed with the Mueller investigation, I also find it strange nobody’s talking about how well the economy is doing.
It is doing well, I don't really see anyone disputing that. It has been doing well for years now.
The debt was a hot issue on this board until Trump won election. Now everybody is cool with it. Seems odd a Republican gets elected and the issue many harped on Obama about is now a moot point, don't you think?
