And also it has come out that Barr asked Mueller to review his sumary letter before he put it out. Mueller declined to do so. The reason to me is obvious: he knew Barr was looking to whitewash it and he did not want Barr or the WH to be able to say that Mueller had any part in that. They'd have spun it as an endorsement to its conclusions, which Mueller knew would be a bastardization of the actual facts.

Barr was white washing it, so he went to the one guy who could unilaterally tear his response to pieces with it. hopefully that makes sense in the world you live in.

I find it far more likely their working relationship was the reason Mueller said no. Also it wouldn't have mattered, Mueller and all, are going to be presenting to Congress anyway.

Coming soon. Mueller is a dutiful soldier. But he will soon be asked in public whether he agrees with the way Barr has characterized his findings. I don't think that will go well for Barr and Trump.

But we'll see. Maybe he will.

Apparently the Muell is working with Barr on his characterizations.

Meanwhile, Barr vowed Tuesday to release the Mueller report to the public "within a week."

“Right now the special counsel is working with us. This process is going along very well and my original timetable of being able to release this by mid-April stands," Barr testified. "From my standpoint, within a week, I will be in a position to release the report to the public and then I will engage with both chairmen of Judiciary Committees on any requests that they have."

Your misrepresentation is exactly why Mueller did not review the summary letter when invited. He knew that would be misrepresented as some sort of agreement by him with its contents. Barr was careful to say what he said today to continue the administration's misinformation campaign that Mueller is on board with all of this.

He is doing his job, helping with redactions. Turning that into a claim that he therefore embraces the spin put on it by Barr or by Trump is just an outright lie.

Name 1 damn reason Barr would lie or fudge the report knowing damn well the Muell could blast him out of the water by calling 1 congressman or reporter? Barr just committed a felony and all it would take is the Muell saying, nope I didn't work with him at all.

dude. this whole spree of Russian nonsense has been filled with those type of lies.

You throw out a damning lie. Let people react for a couple days. then after the storm has blown over you release a "correction" and no one pays attention. Even if the correction completely invalidated the original story. wash, rinse, repeat. it has happened literally dozens of times the last 2+ years but everyone still buys the BS.
