You put out some facts that we don’t know. Fulmer could have known he was talking to UCLA but couldn’t do much about it for a day being in Tampa. Maybe he didn’t know.

Also, UCLA probably called Barnes. They are the ones setting the timeline, not Barnes.

A lot of unknowns.

I think he'll be under more pressure to win. He'll be expected to recruit well and hang a banner during the next five years. They'll probably expect him to increase fundraising and pack TBA. And get some new ties.

Sampson and Dawkins should have been called befor Barnes and Dixon anyway.

If I was UCLA my list of first calls would have been to Pearl/Sampson/Calipari/Hamilton/Billy Donovan/Brad Stevens/Chris Beard

I find it hard to lose respect for someone who only talked to someone who offered him a new job and a bunch of money. CRB did not create drama - the media and fans created the drama.
Anyone here who says they would not at least talk with someone else if they approached you with a new job with much more pay is not being truthful.
And if my best worker came to me and told me they had new job offer, I would do my best to keep them. That is what Fulmer did.

I think Pearl is radioactive. Don't see anyone pursuing him. That's what I've been told from someone who's very good friends with him.

Off Topic: Does Tony Bennett sweat or ever have a bad hair day? I saw a pic of him and Beard yesterday morning. Beard looked like he hadn’t slept all night getting hammered and Bennet looked like he had been with a Hollywood makeup artist for hours

Agreed. Barnes has put pressure on himself with how he handled this, He has to win and win big now. Not share a reg season title, not make the tournament title game he has to win now
