I kind of feel like the internet and mass media in general did. Information is transmitted so fast nowadays that the guys who try to take their time, research, and confirm findings get left behind by whoever wins the social media lottery of posting something first.

I kinda feel for a lot of these folks. If you aren’t one of the first to post, you get made fun of like Jimmy Hyams. There’s really not a happy medium to do that job and still keep your sanity.

Yeah. The days of journalists holding the respect of the nation (or their communities), for taking thorough, methodical approaches seem to be dead. It’s sad. But we’ve all contributed to it in our own little ways, I guess.
