It's Day 99 of the UCLA search. The AD is under fire and they don't want it to go to Day 100.
well, they could have prevented that last week with Dixon. an didn't. buut now they can. weird shift in priorities. like they passed some imaginary time line that does something if they don't get someoneone hired right now.

usually that's how you wind up with a bad hire.

You come on here and post stuff without revealing anything about your source until later when you mention he or she has been correct the last couple of times. Your info seems pretty inflammatory and you wonder why people don't believe you. Personally, I think you have a source and you believe him or her, but that is only my opinion. Others are bound to have different ones.

Early 20s, I think. He played QB at a smaller school in Alabama. He's been around campus and worked with the players some.
JSU and actually its a pretty big program at that level of football.....didn't they beat auburn or someone a year or so ago? Or was it Ole Miss?

EDIT: they beat OM in 2010 and nearly beat the barn in 15

Years spent on campus, in the libraries, at the student unions, making friends, some of whom are life-long, isn't the same as buying a $25 shirt and $30 hat. Even as a transfer student, I'm proud of having attended both schools, because I was the first in my family to do so. Maybe that's why I get worked up on that subject.

I understand what you’re saying but don’t think that’s what they meant by t-shirt fan. I am a UT alum. My dad, my mom, my brother, my cousins, many were not able to go to UT. I never doubt for one minute that their love for Rocky Top is any less than mine.

So now, since a lot of the news is trending that CRB might very well stay, I am especially nervous for my nads. It is this kind of information that typically gets our hopes up, only for it to be dashed later, leaving us all writhing in pain on the floor wondering wtf happened this time.

California alone is the world's 5th largest economy & accounted for 75% of the job gains last month what a godless HELL HOLE

Take away subsidies from 49 other states and see how that looks. Can’t compare a states economy with counties around the world when the don’t have to sustain their own large dollar expenditures such as Defense like an independent country has to.

Right. UT has done that, too. Chaney was a no-go in December. UT didn't feel pressured to make a hire and wasn't interested in paying that kind of money. The search dragged on, targets publicly stayed put and the AD felt the heat. So UT ponied up and hired the guy who would come if the price was right. Turned out to be a good hire for UT. If Barnes stays at UT, I could see UCLA turn around and make it work with Dixon.

Im going to humble brag 1 sec because it makes me feel good. I gained aboit 10-12 pounds in a month and a half and no longer look like a holocaust survivor. 5x a week workout with protein shakes, creatine, and a nice clean bulk. I feel a lot more confident recently:)
I have lost nearly 40 pounds since December. You and I had different goals but we are both going in the right direction!

good point, and true. but, good for us, we didn't over react and just hire someone cause we got anxious. did we probably over pay? yeah. but ultimately got what we wanted.

will be interesting to see how this unfolds for UCLA if Barnes decides to stay.

California's GDP Last Year was $2.7 trillion. Even if they spent like ~$300 billion in defense wouldnt that still put them in at minimum the top 15 of countries if they were one? Not sure how subsidies even plays a role in considering its viability as a state economically.

EDIT: Idk, its a great place Im just bored and want an answer from barnes lol

I'd forgotten which school, just that it was in Alabama. Not even sure how much he played, but he seems like a nice guy and has thrown some with our guys when he's been around with his dad.

Well for one if his team wouldn't have s*** the bed last year against SCar, Mizzou, and Vandy.....and gotten to a bowl game....then he wouldn't have to worry about the crowd.
But if having a large attendance at the O&W game after last year's performance by Butch's recruits helps get commitments from some of the great players he has worked hard to get to attend the game, shouldn't we be willing to help make that happen? Or should we cut off our nose to spite our face?
