Williams and Schofield are marginal prospects, and Bone has had to come a long way to get to this point. So, I will have to disagree with you this time. I think Barnes and Co. have maximized all 3's talent in a way that most coaching staffs would not have.

Would they have become good players without Barnes? Yes. That's not the same as looking at making a lot of money without having to go overseas.

This, well said. I think Grant would have put up similar numbers anywhere he went. His exposure on this team with this staff has gotten him noticed by the NBA. Admiral & Bone I think benefited greatly from this staff, same for Kyle. Although I do think they would have all been good players anywhere I think they became their best versions partly because of Barnes & staff.

When I was looking for my nad shot gif, I noticed that there a ton of them like it. I.e. Grown men letting women kick them in the jimmies real, real hard. What is wrong with people?

I will be estatic if he stays. But, I'll look at him just a little bit different from here on out.
If he is angling for a raise and some multi-year contracts for his assistants, I would be somewhat ok with it. If he was really tempted to leave, unless the money was unreal, I would have more of an issue.

Honestly if Barnes stays and we see mostly his assistants benefiting from it then I'll be an even bigger fan. To turn down 5+ guaranteed WITH them paying your buyout and being willing to pay your assistants from a legit top tier basketball school like UCLA to stay here and play 2nd fiddle to a yet to be good football program....yeah I'm going to applaud the man a bit.

It'll show he cares about his staff more than himself, and it'll also show that he knows the right time to push the issue to get what he wants.

I’ve read articles in the past talking about the struggles UCLA and other state schools are having hiring coaches because the state is in such a budget crunch (want to interject politics so bad!!!lol). Because of this they struggle attracting quality coaches at all levels. Now this pertained specifically to football, but I’m wondering where UCLA is getting all these resources? Boosters for BB only?

Well for one if his team wouldn't have s*** the bed last year against SCar, Mizzou, and Vandy.....and gotten to a bowl game....then he wouldn't have to worry about the crowd.

I was thinking he should have tried to keep some of the recent recruiting news under wraps until after the spring game. For some it seems that after Morris, Wright, Crouch, To'oto'o, et. al., a 2-star grad xfer, a backup at Marshall, and an underrated running back commit really didn't go too far in generating a ton of hype, at least not universally. jmo.
