K’Rojhn Calbert continues to get work with the 1s at right guard.

Ty Chandler is the smoothest receiver in the group, but I thought Jeremy Banks looked much more comfortable catching the ball today than compared to some of his work a year ago. Conversely, the routes on air period was bad, with numerous drops

I didn’t see JJ Peterson at practice today. The MLB group was a bit thinner than usual, as Quavaris Crouch and Daniel Bituli spent most of the time with the OLBs working on pass rush moves. Crouch has a pretty vicious swim move and it’s clear that he’s most comfortable/natural in that role right now.

Tyus Fields wasn’t working with the cornerbacks, instead working with the safeties during the open portion. Daniel Bituli and Quavaris Crouch initially started practice with the inside linebackers, but they both moved over to work with the outside linebackers halfway through the open portion. Deangelo Gibbs was still working with the safeties, and he’ll likely stay there the remainder of spring.

I thought Kivon Bennett got a lot of work in with the outside linebackers today, and he could work his way into the rotation this fall if he keeps it up.

Dominick Wood-Anderson led the group in each drill as he has all spring. The following order in the drill was Austin Pope, Jacob Warren, Princeton Fant, James Brown, Andrew Craig, and Jackson Lowe.

Jauan Jennings, Marquez Callaway, and Josh Palmer continue to look good. Redshirt sophomore Jacquez Jones made a nice catch that drew praise from the coaches.

Alongside Tee Martin and Chris Weinke, Jim Chaney continues to primarily work with the quarterbacks and wide receivers.

The most notable tweak this time was Ryan Johnson working at right tackle for a few reps in half-line drills.

Elsewhere on the offensive line, Riley Locklear looked to get work at both center and left guard in half-line drills. Trey Smith again got some light-contact work during drills and took a few reps at left guard between Locklear and Jahmir Johnson at left tackle. Freshman Chris Akporoghene looks to be getting most of his work at left guard.

There looked to be a slight tweak in terms of the three-man combinations with Emmit Gooden taking reps at the nose tackle spot flanked by Michigan transfer Aubrey Solomon and sophomore John Mincey. LaTrell Bumphus and Matthew Butler worked on either side of Kingston Harris in the middle of the second group. Ja'Quain Blakely and Greg Emerson were part of the third trio.

The quarterbacks worked on rollouts throwing to corner routes with Jarrett Guarantano remaining sharp on his short and intermediate throws. The young quarterbacks continue to be up-and-down in the warm-up drills with JT Shrout and Jauan Jennings briefly talking through a missed connection. There were a few footballs on the ground mostly due to accuracy issues, though there was at least one legitimate drop.
