ESPN to offer Stephen A. Smith $10 Million a year...

David Ubben of The Athletic is rapidly becoming my favorite sportswriter. Has a good article up this AM on spring practice so far. Calls it exactly as he sees it. Can't post a link here. Summary - O is ahead of the D, Chaney is keeping it simple and taking control, team health is good overall, JG is without question the man and is stepping up vocally as a leader more - Pruitt says the game has slowed down for him, D-line is a mystery and there is hope for Williams/Middleton to help, Wright will get a good look as a starter and Morris is pretty much penciled in as one now, Banks is a RB and Pruitt is satisfied he is making progress, they need the talented Solomon and Gibbs (as WR) to be eligible, Crouch and JJP are most likely to be OLB's (not ILB's) this season, expect Pruitt to call all of us out if we don't pack the spring game. David defends us - give us something to go for after the results of last season, Jeremy. Chicken versus egg. Kind of hard to get excited over what we saw while having virtually no access to the current staff/team to build interest. So expect some jimmies to get rustled on both sides...

People still watch shows on ESPN? I remember as a kid I would watch SportsCenter religiously. I bet I've seen a total of 30 mins of that program in the last 10 years. ESPN is just for watching college FB and BB games in my house.
My thoughts exactly. I use to love watching Mike and Mike and cold pizza. I can’t stand watching ESPN anymore unless it’s live sports.

I've been out of baseball interest for a while now, but I've heard a little about an ump going power trippy in an Astros game. Anybody see that? There were even some gambling allegations being thrown around.

I figure a good officials scandal is good fodder.

He also posts on here occasionally, which means he's even greater of a guy!

Ill watch sportscenter, I still like the top 10 and its good having in the background hearing about other games, etc. The shows I'm out on except maybe the fantasy football stuff day of games.

No doubt about it. I watched some last Friday because I was home sick, and there was nothing else I could do. ESPN has turned into creating the news instead of reporting the news.
