Charger - all the best to you for your procedure.
Thanks for bringing the topic of our head coach back up. I had a comment I put on hold when Ron dropped the "rumor" on us earlier. Anyway, my assessment of Pruitt is that he isn't Hitler so I think he's going to do okay. My reasoning follows:
Recently I re-watched the miniseries, The Winds of War. Then I moved on to the 13-part documentary, World War II in color. I’m only half-way through the documentary but I already suspect I know which side is going to come out the winner.
I’m not sure but my sense of things last year was that Pruitt was excessively committed to running the ball even when it was evident that we couldn’t. Additionally, I thought sometimes he put our defense in too many do-or-die situations. If the play works, great; if it doesn’t, the other side gets a touchdown.
There were whispers of tension between Pruitt and Helton last year regarding the offense. I like the way that apparently has been resolved. Chaney won’t take any **** from him. He’ll knock him down and sit on him if he tries to pull that Hitler act this year. I understand, I think, what happened last year. Helton was unproven and I think Pruitt in his own mind thought he knew better. The fact that he went out and hired a new offensive coordinator with a hell of a lot of gravitas suggests he knows he needs to get out of his own way.
I also like that Ansley will be calling the defense this year – even though he’s going to be a rookie at that task. I don’t mind Pruitt meddling in the defense because unlike a certain corporal he actually does have some stellar qualifications in that area. Also, I don’t think Ansley is a pushover and may help to check some of the “reckless” high school urges that Pruitt may sometimes have to deal with.
I give Pruitt an A+ for putting together and making adjustments to his staff so far. I give him a B+ for recruiting (if you wanted to grade based on circumstances it could be higher but grading based on circumstances ain’t going to win us any more games). I give him an A+ for pulling off two top-25 upsets in his first year and doing so with an inferior roster. I also give him an A+ for holding on to Fitz in spite of the strong lure Fitz had to join his pal at Maryland. I think many of these staff moves and the fact that he is giving up play-calling on both sides of the ball suggests to me that he is not Hitler, and that’s a good thing if we really do want to have a realistic chance of conquering the whole world. jmo.

Good luck Charger. I'll be praying for you.Tomorrow, 1st procedure in attempt to alleviate some of the pain and swelling.
I would let them cut into me with dual chainsaws at this point, if they guaranteed me less pain afterwards.
Miss being able to focus enough to carry on conversations here but read what I can.
Any of them positive vibes and "good lucks" you have laying around, sure would be appreciated. Because something's got to give.
Lol..I can't believe how bad you missed my point.. holy crap this place is absolutely hilarious, only reading parts of discussions from other folks, then making a snap judgment when they don't even understand the point. I'm saying that at this point this ALL STAR staff should be pulling in top 10 classes every year based on their experience and if we are going to catch up to the GA's AL's FL's, nevermind the LSU and A&M's anytime soon, we are going to need this class coming up to be at a minimum a top 5, which is what many have said and agreed on... The class we just signed is definitely a step in the right direction and building block, but we need to do better in the next 3 class cycles if we are going to have a chance to catch up...... LORD... I'm officially out until fall. this place has truly become a bunch of morans.
He mad brah..1. I think everyone else understands that a 1st time HC taking over a program during it's worst run in history, will have to get a few wins as proof of what's to come.
Regardless of "all star staff".
2. If it's you vs EVERYONE else in the understanding of the circumstances, then it's probably a 'you' issue![]()
Prayers for you Charger. May God give your doctors and other medical personnel the wisdom they need to complete this procedure successfully and may you find relief. God bless and may you be healed.Tomorrow, 1st procedure in attempt to alleviate some of the pain and swelling.

You need to show a special commitment to the school and he has not done even close to that. I totally agree with you.Saw a clip where analysts were arguing that Duke should retire Zion's jersey. Duke has a policy that you have to graduate and we have our own policy in terms of what honors you have to receive and that you have to leave in good academic standing if you leave early. Theoretically, a player could probably meet our requirements as a one year player but I'm a bit skeptical of the idea of retiring a one and done jersey. Jersey retirements should be as much about your relationship to the university and the impact you had on the overall community as about on the court accomplishments (I think that's why Duke has the requirement of graduating, although that may be a bit too strict).
I'm sure a high character kid could come in and make an impact both on and off the court (and Zion may be that) and if so, I'm fine with that but for the most part the guys that are one and done types don't really leave much of a mark. It's just a one year training period and NBA audition for them.
Good luck with your grandfather Catbone. I hope and pray it is nothing more than effects of radiation that tend to last longer than people realize. While we are at it my grandfather seems to be going backwards after his final radiation treatment about a month and a half ago. So weird, he seemed to be getting better for until about 3 weeks ago something changed he's started regressing badly. They think his brain tumor was so bad its just growing back really fast. Anyway, prayers are always appreciated. Love all you guys and never take you our your family's health for granted!
Prayers bro. I know what you mean on fam. Stepdad is going to Vanderbilt this weeken for tests, big spot on his pancreas. Most likely tumor, dont know if its cancer and if it has metastasized yet. I love him and my mom needs him. While we are at it my grandfather seems to be going backwards after his final radiation treatment about a month and a half ago.
