Not when your preseason top and didn’t win a title/make the Final Four. Sucks but that is how North American sports work.
Last nights finish is the PERFECT EXAMPLE of why you can't judge a teams success on what happens in the tourney.
Just a complete travesty for the season to be decided on such a play.
You absolutely have to look at the entire body of work to judge a team.
Just stop stop stop the basketball is a tourney sport BS.
Lol.
That's how you view it. Stop acting like everyone views it that way.
I'd make a huge wager that well over 50% of basketball fans through this great place called North America would view this basketball season a succcess for the Tennessee Vols.
You don't have a valid point.Hopefully you see my point and are just choosing not to acknowledge it. Have a good day!
And yet nobody is gonna remember this team outside of Knoxville in 3 years because they didn’t win anything significant.

You don't have a valid point.
You don't understand the basketball mentality.
Winning big regular season rivalry games and being ranked doesn't make a good season in basketball without the post season success too.
You are one of many here who don't know anything about bball except UT games.
Individual losses ,when people freaked out, didn't matter and I told people that. It was always about the tourney.
It doesn't matter if you win 20 or 30 games. It's the postseason results.
So who had a better year?
Team A. Top ten preseason. 31-1 undefeated reg season. confernce regular season champ but loss in tourney champ. Loss in Sweet 16 as 1 seed.
Team B
22-10
Not ranked preseason. No regular season champ. Wins conference tourney. Makes Final Four.
So what your saying is you see it differently than he does? You don't have a valid point.

And nobody is going to remember K State for making an elite 8 a year ago either.
I said this before and it's very very true. Being number 1 for an entire month is much harder than making an elite 8. It gave this program great juice and we are seeing that in recruiting right now.
I'd rather have a final four yes. Elite 8 no.
And yes plenty of people care. Just look at our recruiting list these days and you will see many that care

You really think K state a year ago had a better year than we had this year??
Neither team won a regular season conference title
Neither team won a conference tournament title
They made it farther than us in the tournament.
We were a better team but they had more postseason success than us. I’d probably call it a wash.
Wow that's pure comedy. We shouldn't even play the regular season at all then.
That's plain dumb and Most Northern American sports fans would strongly disagree with you.
I should say Kansas State had a pretty favorable draw last year. Moreso than UT this year. But that’s how the cookie crumble sometimes.
Either way, both of those teams didn’t accomplish a lot in the grand scheme of things.
Of course they had an easy draw But because North American sports gurus only view the tourney as guidelines for success/failure you made an ignorant post.
