Mueller Report Imminent

Barr, by his own statements said, he was "fully" briefed when he was confirmed.

he may have been briefed on findings to date but as I understand it he was privvy to Mueller's decision on what he'd do vis a vis obstruction more recently.

I echo GAVols' question - how have you determined the summary was too short (or too long for that matter)?

It's been going on two years and apparently the 4 pages provided to congress didn't even provide a full scope of what Mueller was actually investigating.

when has he ever said that is all he'd provide to Congress?

this was official on Friday and the pressure was on to make some commentary.

sounds like complaining to complain. how many pages should it have been?

DC it wasn't until yesterday that some old threads resurfaced that I realized your avatar for a while was Volprof's. Tip o the hat to ye.

The Barr report itself only highlighted the Russian interference/collusion and Obstruction. We know they were looking into the meeting in the , Seychelles as well as the NRA.

you sure they weren't looked into as part of the investigation into Russian interference/collusion?

have you read the Barr memo? It says the Mueller report looked at 2 key issues

I have never suggested that he has said that or even that I thought that would be all he would provide.

But he said more to come..:why are you bitching?
Posting a link to an article highlighting a congressional request is not bitching nor is giving my opinion that Barr could have waited and provided a more detailed report. I actually might be pissed and start bitching if, when all is said and done, I don't find out any more details about Carter Page and why they thought he was a Russian Asset. I actually think most posters would like to know the answer to that.

Shouldn't have made it so brief.

Of course not. Dims need as much grandstanding material as possible. If they focus on a Supreme Court judge’s yearbook talking about farting I’m sure they can make up even more absurd theories if given just a little more vague material.

Do you see the big assumption here? I'd argue it's as (or more) likely that they didn't think he was a Russian Asset; they thought they could use him to get the FISA approval. They were done with him over a year ago in terms of questioning and he was out talking about it. He knew was cleared.

They used his pass to get the FISA along with the dossier. Shady stuff it appears.

It was nice of them to wait until after he left the campaign and before the big Comey reveal a week before the election to get that FISA.

what is the reporting that convinces you they really thought he was a Russian Agent? how does that square with him not only not being indicted but actively doing interviews questioning the Comey-led and Mueller led investigation into him. Ball o' Steel or realize after they interviewed him that they had nothing.

sure looks like they (FBI) used him as an excuse to monitor the campaign without any real concern he was a Russian agent.

Are you aware that FISA warrants are retroactive and could be used to cover-up illegal spying that occurred prior to the warrant being signed?

How dare you , our secret squirrels would never do that . That’s just unAmerican you tinfoil hat wearing Natzi 😊

Mueller clearly restricted himself to looking at Team Trump. Horowitz continues to look at the actions surrounding the investigative efforts. Will be interesting to see what the Mueller reports adds to the Horowitz efforts.

I'm not making predictions but I'm mildly speculating that investigative abuses will be found. I'm ready to admit I'm wrong in the thread that emerges.

Oh geez I don't know may because they took out a FISA warrant on him 3 times, Interviewed him and noted they believed he was a Russian asset before he even joined team Trump and before Steele was talking to the FBI, and Page has been involved in a counter intelligence operation that lead to the conviction of a Russian in 2013 or 2014.

Did they really take one out on "him" 3 times or was it the cover to collect info on the campaign team?

His prior actions are noted but he did become a cooperating witness. What's more likely? After getting busted he reverted back to his bad ways knowing he was on the radar or the FBI wanted access to investigate Trump and because Page was loosely affiliated AND the had the dossier they figured we'll tie them together to get the go ahead?

His role in the campaign was minor, he was interviewed early in the process and was clearly comfortable going public that there was no there there but you discount all that to the degree you need documented proof that he wasn't a Russian agent?
