He was exonerated by Barr for obstruction, so his statement is correct.He did not say he was exonerated by Mueller on the tarmac.

Former CIA chief John O. Brennan now says his months of attacks on President Trump may have been based on “bad information.”

One of the president’s harshest critics had a muted tone on Monday as he discussed special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” No evidence was found to support the claim that Mr. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign “conspired or coordinated” with Russia.

“Well, I don’t know if I received bad information but I think I suspected there was more than there actually was,” Mr. Brennan told host Joe Scarborough. “I am relieved that it’s been determined there was not a criminal conspiracy with the Russian government over our election.”

Mr. Brennan said in December 2018, for instance, that Mr. Trump should prepare for the “forthcoming exposure of your malfeasance & corruption.”

...or it's possible that the investigator wasn't biased and conducted an honest probe of the facts. There doesn't have to be bias found everywhere you look. It is quite possible that Trump's attacks against Mueller's integrity were simply unfounded.

Is obstruction worthy of removal from office? Precedent says no, so you still wouldn't get your wish. It's funny how triggered you are. Trump is a despicable person, not the first to hold office(and not the last), but there is nothing to warrant removal from office, which is what you seem to be having wet dreams about. Screaming and crying about how bad the orange man is going nowhere. If you want him out of office, vote him out, and hope enough people see things your way. I can tell you right now though, the way you're going about expressing your opinion won't win many people to your side.

For the record, these types of investigations aren't being done to exonerate anyone, as most negatives can't be proven. These investigations are (designed to be) performed from the perspective of innocent unless proven guilty. Thus, it's the height of politics to say that Trump couldn't be exonerated of anything by this investigation when these investigations usually can't and don't exonerate anyone.

I probably could never prove the negative that you're not a serial rapist, as you may be a VERY good rapist. But you're assumed innocent unless evidence of the positive is discovered and proven. There's no need, nor possibility of exoneration.

That's how this works.

Media takes serious hit from Mueller conclusions

The news media has taken a big hit from special counsel Robert Mueller’s conclusion that no one in the Trump campaign conspired with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election.

For the past two years, the media has focused exhaustively on the question of whether President Trump and those closest to him had illegally coordinated with Russia to steal the election.

The breathless coverage amplified the sense that Trump and some of his family members would go down for crimes, yet in the end Mueller reported that he had not found evidence of a conspiracy.

Conservatives and some liberals say there should be a reckoning.

“Hell yes, there ought to be some self-examination from the media for contributing to a Russia hysteria,” said Wayne Merry, a former State Department foreign service officer who worked in Moscow under former Presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush. “Maybe the press didn’t get it all wrong, but there is not a scintilla of evidence that goes to the fundamental allegation that Trump is president because he coordinated with Russia.”

Conservatives are basking in the media’s failures, circulating greatest hits collections of reporting mistakes and mash-ups of television commentators warning that the walls are closing in on the president.

The Trump campaign sent a memo to television producers on Monday asking hosts to challenge past guests who claimed to have evidence of collusion.

A few prominent figures on the left are also taking a victory lap, such as The Intercept’s Glenn Greenwald, who says he was blackballed from CNN and MSNBC for refusing to promote the Trump-Russia conspiracy narrative.
