This is one of the few Tennessee teams in any sport where following them didn’t feel like a chore. It’s been years since I could say that. It wouldn’t matter to me if they got bounced in the first round. I had fun watching Tennessee sports again.

Dude won the SEC regular season (a lot harder to do) just last year.


Auburn is basically our worst nightmare and we played like it today. We are horrible at defending the perimeter. Auburn is the most prolific 3 ball team in SEC history. Just a horrible match up and it is what it is. They have our number. **** em and move on.

But Barnes totes should have called that timeout so he could tell them to contest those all those 20+ footers.

We are going to win at least 30 games and spent a month at number 1 in the fing world.


Not good enough for Z, who thinks we should’ve stole fing Coach K from Duke.

Look I’m being a little irrational and I get that but I’m so ****ing tired of losing this damn tournament. Auburn isn’t a great matchup but last week we played better. We got a rematch and we ran around on defense like a chicken with its head cut off. The second half was even worse. And Harper was basically a non factor.

At some point, this team has got to show consistent mental toughness. They did yesterday and as soon as it got to 15 they were done.

Am I asking too much to not get beat twice by Auburn with a championship on the line?

A giant letdown game after yesterday was the most predictable thing in the world. I didn’t expect us to flat out forget how to catch passes but I did tell my Auburn buddy last night that i thought they’d probably beat us today because I didn’t think we’d have much left in the tank emotionally after UK round 3. There’s only so much a coaching staff can say to counteract that.

I thought we’d be merely flat rather than gutless. But that’s on the players.
