He was finally able to get into the flow of a game. He stayed out of foul trouble.
The refs finally let us play on the defensive end of the court a little. I’m sure they will make up for it today...UK will get to maul us, then we get called for hand-checking fouls.

Unfortunately you are correct. I will be glad when SEC is over. Maybe when we get to NCAA we will see the biased officiating over with.
Hear hear! Even if the refs try to start off calling the game even on both ends of the court, you know Cal will whine and cry until they start slanting the calls to UK.

I was sitting here shaking my head in disagreement. Then it hit me. They let us play last night to get their matchup.

It'll be back to hack at 330.

I sincerely hope you are joking. They led the SEC in drops. For years we have had WRs that fail to do things like beat press coverage by DBs. JJ is good but is no game breaker. Do we have anything remotely close to a Jeudy? No we dont. JG is not the best passer but our WR corps hasnt been really good in years. The last really good WR we had was Justin Hunter imo. That was a guy who could get open.

We can just agree to disagree. I saw plenty of times where our guys did a nice job to get open. Particularly Palmer as a vertical threat and Jennings underneath. Calloway does struggle a bit with separation I’ll give you that

Yes, I’ve got one from the SC game I’ve been holding onto. I’ve trimmed it down a bit. How can I get it to you?

Can you send it to me via a new conversation? If not I've got a junk mail email account I can share, you'll just have to put something in the subject line so I don't delete it on accident

I don't think I'd say they "let us play" last night....Grant fouled out, Kyle had 4 and I think Admiral was at 3 or 4 too.

Today's game comes down to how well our wing guys play. Need Grant & Kyle to snatch boards and stay out of foul trouble, and then we need Bone/Bowden/Turner to go for 30+ between them without a ton of turnovers.

I used to think Tennessee fans complain about the refs so much because we suck in football and it was used as an excuse.

....but this basketball team is really freakin good. So now I think we just complain about the refs for no reason.

We're also going to need solid minutes from Pons and Fulkerson. I know Pons is limited offensively, but his minutes on defense are critical especially when we get in foul trouble or late in the second half. If Pons could just get a little offense or make rebounds a priority...just enough to keep teams honest, it would help enormously. Just give us something. 10 minutes with one shot attempt and nothing else. Goose eggs down the line. Need more than that in 10 min of action.

While I agree, I think that ship has sailed and at this point any offensive production from that point or farther down the bench is gravy...

In the 3 games we lost we have been outshot 47 from the free throw line. In 3 halves we didn’t even shoot a free throw. I don’t think that is for no reason.

He should be contributing on the boards and defensively. Rebounds, blocks, steals...hell, maybe an assist or two? Something other than points. He's arguably the best athlete on the team. To put up goose eggs in 10 min of playing time...well...that's hard to imagine.

Pons is another Kyle type, his senior season he'll be there and we'll all wish he had one more season.

We're getting good bench play from Fulkie & Bowden, if a 3rd bench guy can come in and give us anything then we would be pretty unstoppable. Problem is I don't know who that guy is...Walker, Pons, Jalen?
