Compiled SEC long passing plays as a percentage of total attempts by QB from last year (10+, 20+, 30+ yards, etc.) to try and convince someone in FF that JG was not just a "dink and dunk" passer last year. Didn't know what I would find, but I was pretty sure he took way more long shots than under Butch's offense. Guarantano in the top half for each category.

That's why nobody cares if they get a good seed or not?

I’m just saying in the big picture if you are one of the top 12ish teams in the country then your seeding really shouldn’t matter all that much Bc each side has advantages and disadvantages. Like based on how the ncaa picks teams i believe as a 1 seed you have a harder 2nd round game than you would as a 2 seed.

For instance based off espns current projections... Kentucky as a 1 seed would face either Syracuse or ole miss (who almost beat them already) in the 2nd round.

While duke as a 2 would get Cincinnati or seton hall who i believe are both worse than Syracuse and ole miss.

I loved YAC here in Memphis, I loved the hire, I love what he did for our guys last year (the Palmer UGA TD and Callaway UK halftime Hail Mary stand out specifically). I dunno how he'll do as a pure RB-only coach, but I'm excited to see what he'll do with Chandler, who has no problem catching the ball.

May not see his impact this season cause the oline is still young & unproven. But I think him & Chaney will churn out a 1500 yard rusher in 3 years.

My mom is having a very serious complicated surgery at Vanderbilt. She’s been in surgery since 0700 this morning. Waiting room has one TV. We asked someone to change the channel from HGTV to the SECT. This one lady 50 feet from the TV with a laptop and muthereffing headphones on stands up and says she’s watching that so they wouldn’t change the channel.

I’m about to get arrested
Hope your mom does well.

He took a plenty of shots down field except the South Carolina game. (I charted that game and his total air yardage of all those attempts if you subtract throws behind the LOS was like 14).

The problem is a lot of the times he took shots, he was late, under threw them, or had too much air under them

I'm trying to temper my expectations for most freshmen. I do think Roman and guys like Warren Burrell will be really good for us at some point, but I'm not expecting it in 2019. I'll be the most excited if I'm wrong, which I hope I am.

I feel the same way. My thoughts on Roman are just thinking about how well he performed in HS and his measurables. But like you, I am not really expecting him and other true FR being major contributors. But who knows?

Of course then there were the drops as well. Oh an also the failure of the WRs to get open on a consistent basis.

Yeah, I'm hopeful for the future of the OL, but if last year was an F grade, I'm only expecting us to get to a D+ (C- at best) this year. 2020 could be pretty good with Darnell/Wanya, and Neihaus/Tatum/Locklear/RyanJohnson being SR's (I think Ryan Johnson did well all things considered last year, and hopefully out of the other three, we could get a serviceable rotation going, especially with 2019's FR class pushing them).

Not sure if we'll ever see a 1500 rusher here, mostly because it's RB by committee.
