"Didn't inherit the wealth" as in, started at $0? or with the national average $30k in student loan debt? Lots of moving parts there, which again, is why I was just gonna let it go.

The Vols are an elite head coach away from competing at the highest levels of college football. Pruitt is beating the top teams in the country out for recruits and this is coming off of 4-8 and 5-7. Improve and more talent will come. All we need is a championship head coach. If Pruitt is that, we will win again. It's as simple as that. I don't care about Clemson, don't care about Florida or GA. We can attract talent as well as anyone else or at least close to it. All we need is elite coaching.

I personally think we already have it.

But we we're lucky to have those multiple decades of dominance (not "back to back" you nitpickers) and we can never get back to that level.

The only way to truly know if they’re “self made” is to look at their families background and break it down that way. Not every “self made” millionaire starts at the same levels. Someone who had rich successful business parent(s) has more advantages than someone who’s parent(s) made 50k a year working at a bank.

Yeah, ridiculous. They act like we can't recruit with the big boys and then they call Clemson a recruiting machine. Uh... you can argue that our 2019 class is better than theirs and we also beat them head to head for Crouch. Then they talk about recruiting base. Sure, the Vols don't have the best recruiting base. But, neither does Clemson! And even though FL has a better recruiting base, they also compete in state with Miami, FSU and every other top team. The Vols can and will recruit in the top 10 every year under Pruitt from now on imo, as long as we show success on the field this year. You recruit in the top 10, you can win a championship. all you need is elite coaching. Do we have it? We sure have an elite staff. We'll see if Pruitt is an elite head coach.

I mean, he’s barely played the last 4 years and made a fortune.

It’s nothing personal at all, but they can’t keep eating that money. He’s the #1 guy you want in your locker room, but he’s just not been healthy enough to actually play

He missed most of the last 2 seasons, but played in every game the previous 2. Honestly though I can't say I blame the Chiefs. Most NFL teams are weary of paying a 30 year old who has missed 2 seasons, one from a major injury.

Seahawks did the same thing to Thomas even.

What’s student debt got to do with it? Lots of people start with student debt. I certainly did.

If you have student debt, you should have quality options for earning a living.

And, going to college is not a pre-requisite for amassing a high net worth.

It has much more to do with behavior than income.
