Caught up as part of an investigation into a Miami nursing home overbilling CMS by $1 billion. The only government entity I'd hate to have on me more than the IRS is CMS. Toxic situation, and I would be surprised if Bruce was still around next year. His coaching staff implicated in 2 separate federal criminal investigations.

You get one redshirt regardless of the reason..then if circumstances arise such as an excessive amount of injuries, a player can ask for a waiver for another one and a 6th year

If your first redshirt was due to medical reasons, you’re eligible to PETITION for an extra year of eligibility...always been the case and still is. Jerry Colquitt and Marcus Jackson for us weren’t eligible because their redshirts were standard.

Is there a limit on medicals or if you're not playing, it doesn't count against you?

I figured you were probably trying to come up with some reasons why Davis won COY instead of Barnes but I didn't go back and read all the back n forth. Not sure why a UT fan would be trying to make this argument... but that doesn't matter.

Now that I see your comments about UT "backsliding" from last year. I disagree with that also. UTs SEC record went from 13-5 last year to 15-3 this year. I wouldn't call that "backsliding". The difference was that LSU and KY were much better this year so they ended up with the same or better records than UTs improved 15-3 record.

Facts are:
UT finished tied for 2nd and the 3rd tourney seed.
Ole Miss finished tied for 6th and the 7th tourney seed.

I don't have a problem with Davis winning COY over Barnes because Ole Miss was picked dead last. However, I do sometimes reply when people make statements that I disagree with.

Don't be petty, and we finished worse in the regular season than we did last year in the SEC, that's a non arguable point. Had you read the previous discussion, rather than simply replying from the hip you'd realize that I was simply stating the reason why I thought the AP picked Davis, not why I'd personally pick Davis.

It's not important either way, cheers.

I wondered the same thing. Are those only better for practice conditions or can they also help with neck injuries in real hard hitting games?

80’s Miami Canes DE (Rusty Medearis?) kept blowing his knee at the beginning of every season and KEPT getting extra seasons. I believe he accepted two before HE called it quits. That’s rare. SMU QB was on campus 7 seasons in the mid 90’s. I don’t really know what the limit is. If you get six seasons the NCAA is smiling upon you.

Way too subjective. Define "self-made". Does that apply to well-off non-millionaires? 60% of the country doesn't have $1,000 in savings. Where's the cut-off between the cyclical poor and wealth inequality? How much investment does it take to get off the ground floor/out of the basement? There are a handful of valid answers to all of these questions and it'd just be an overwhelming topic that would piss everyone off and add more division.

New 247 article on JG via Pruitt is pretty glowing. Says the game is really slowing down for him and he's been really smooth so far this Spring. Been working on quicker release and footwork for RPOs. Exactly what he should be working on.

Also says Chaney's offense will give him more control and he really wants to become a "master" of Chaney's offense.

Color me excited.

Yeah, figured it was extremely rare. At the same time, in such a rare case, wonder why they would care, if you haven't been playing.
I wouldn't think it's an advantage but then again, I gave up on the "why's" on NCAA rules years ago.

Are we talking any and all wealth/asset millionaires? A good portion of them aren't the superrich on yachts and private planes some imagine. Most are long-term savers with a lot of real estate equity and retirement savings. They drive used cars and keep no debts. They had a long term vision and executed the plan over decades. Maxed out the IRS 401k limit of 17+k a year and restricted to living on the rest, rather than what many do of deciding what they "need" to live on and work backwards until they are putting 5% into retirement and hoping for the best. The people above don't hope. They run the math and stick to it the best they can with discipline. Btw not speaking of myself, I am only half-disciplined...and half-YOLO. :cool: Ain't no thinly veiled brag here.

Also, and this surprises many, but military retirees in there 40s or 50s can also have assets with present values over 1 million. Those retirement benefits are worth a ton. Even just 40k a year annuity for that many decades is valued at ~1 million+. Police in specific areas can get similar. I've heard of upstate NY cops getting some amazing packages. People that risk their lives earn a premium future value, as they should.

Their accounting audits suck but are a necessary evil.
