I'm saying humanity moves left, not just our country. What our country does will not change that reality.
I believe in all of those qualities, that's why it's so critical that we maintain a country in which we can be proud. I would agree that pride in this country is at an all time low,

Here's a wild idea - reduce the scope of the regulatory regime and of the Federal govt in general and you immediately diminish the power of special interests.

I agree, smaller federal government would limit influence. We might be going at this the wrong way.

I see some comparisons being drawn with the Tea Party movement several years ago. The Tea Party was primarily for less government and fiscal responsibility, which has largely been abandoned by both sides at this point. They weren't a fringe right-wing group as some have painted them to be.

However, the socialist movement in the Democrat party is very different. There is a massive constituency from within the Democrat party that are Democrat Socialists and agree with Marxist policy. This radicalism could completely change the direction of the country and not for the better. Bernie Sanders is a prime example. He's currently the front-runner in the Democratic Presidential race and raised a record-setting amount of money after announcing his candidacy.

This should be troubling to anyone. I shudder to think just how much damage a Bernie Sanders presidency would do to the country. The country will go to hell in a hand-basket. Look at Venezuela. Look at France. It only takes one wrong move before a country collapses.

If there is a pendulum swing back left in 2020 and a socialist president gets elected...our only hope as a country will be that the Republican senate can veto enough terrible socialist policy in the 1st two years to keep us a somewhat capitalist country like it ahould be until 2022 then have a huge red wave like never seen before to take back the house and effectively neuter the socialist president except for when Mr or Mrs Comrade uses EOs to circumvent the lawmaking branch of our government entirely. Then a conservative gets elected in 2024 and can undo all the damage from the Comrade presidency...which Trump could have undone Obummercare if all of the republicans in congress would have backed him like they should have and even reached across the isle to Democrats from places like WVa who are actually somewhat conservative...

If a socialist gets elected in 2020 and all these things dont happen to undo that terrible choice...then we will see the financial collapse and complete moral destruction of this country in my lifetime. I am 41. We are already in debt up to our eyeballs....there is no way to start these huge entitlement programs and ridiculous environmental policies and survive as a country...you can go ahead and count on a recession hitting right after a socialist gets elected, too....businesses and those with money know that they are about to see huge taxes and regulations enacted to make our business climate anemic at best...and the truly rich will immediately move to get their money offshore where it is safe rather than invest in business opportunities in a struggling economy.

I am not a conspiracy theorist or doomsday howler...I am just a common man with a level head and decent math skills. Thats all a man needs in order to see the nightmare that will come if and when 1 of these socialists becomes

Ds won't win the Senate in 2020 and my guess is they also lose the House. I don't put it past enough lazy voters to vote for a socialist.

Nearly every House Democrat on Friday opposed a measure condemning voting in U.S. elections by illegal immigrants, as part of a sweeping election reform bill.

The GOP-backed measure would have added language to the “H.R. 1” election proposal stating that “allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote devalues the franchise and diminishes the voting power of United States citizens.”

Thank you. I didnt realize that i typed dem Senate...we will be counting on a repub senate to veto everything...changed it to Republican like it should have been...i dont think they take the Senate either...and i hope we can take the house in 2020...or 2022 at the latest. Trumps judges are HUGE and cant be changed by a socialist president...he was able to do everything he said he was going to do so far except the wall and Barrycare...he may still get us that wall... but we are screwed with healthcare and the economy unless Trump gets reelected

Maybe the better question is whether the Republican party will soon have to choose between it irrational allegiance to Emperor Trump versus a future absent the clown.

The question that will be asked is do you want more of the devil you know or do you want the socialist devil you don’t unless the Dems come up with a realist moderate candidate . Look at that list , there’s nobody on it strong enough to beat Bernie yet. If someone doesn’t step up soon it’s going to be the old white socialist against Trump and the economy .

Humanity does not move left. They move center, leaving fringe elements behind.
