Depends, I honestly like my .380 because I can fit it in my pocket, and you can't tell I have it. That's what I take to Atlanta when we go. I've walked in the hospital right by the security guards, and they have no clue. Atlanta is just crazy, so I just stay prepared. There is a small 9mm that I'm probably gonna buy that will be easy to hide like that. If I'm going fishing, where there's a chance of critters like freaking bears, I carry my 9mm.

I'm a huge Ruger fan. Have you tried any of their .380 models? -- I've been thinking about buying one.
