Not having a recruiting forum for basketball isn't a knock on the team or the sport, as I've tried to explain, it's just a matter of volume. In basketball there isn't that much to discuss and therefore those discussions are welcomed here in the basketball forum. Certainly, we can do a better job with player threads and maybe sticky a thread with commits and links to player threads, and things like that.

I don’t think Josiah James is going to be one and done. I guess it depends on how he plays. It seems like Barnes is recruiting top 50 players who will stay at least a couple of years.

The issue is that you aren’t always going to hit on 3 stars who turn out to be Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield. You can hit on many of them being good players but not on conference player of the year type players. So, you have to start taking a chance on better talent.

Oh I understand completely.basketball for the university of tennessee has never really been a big topic or big revenue versus football.we’ve never really been good we certainly have had our flashes but not like a Kentucky,Duke or North Carolina.I just feel like it’s changing a little bit to where others might want to start keeping up with recruiting as far as players offered or players committed.I know we have people on this forum with basketball connections who are “in the know” that wouldnt mind sharing more insight/information when it comes to these recruits.Thats one of the many reasons I enjoy the (RF) is Because of the information shared on players/Recruits.This site is far better than any of the other teams forums I’ve seen starting with “Georgia”.....“huge disaster” 😭😂 so I’m not taking away from any of your work by any means I’m just thinking out loud.
