You're sparing Curt Flood? :)

I still think when the game is happening, players compete primarily for the sake of winning. It's part of what makes them good enough to get to the majors in the first place. I can't say money doesn't ever enter the equation but when a guy is in the batter's box or on base or the mound or wherever, he's still just trying to beat the other guy. What thinking about the money does mostly is add to the pressure to perform, which mostly affects practice/prep and all that stuff, but at gametime it's competing to win.

And when I'm watching the game, I'm thinking only baseball stuff and not about how much money anyone's getting. I think about money issues when I read news about it, over the winter mostly, but the game's still the game.
Curt Flood gets a pass, even though he played for St. Louis. I totally agree about players when they're on the field. I just miss the game of my youth. Free Agency was not awful, but arbitration is a joke. It is so expensive to go to a ball game and I can't watch the Cubs on WGN. I'm on mobile so I can't type as well or I'd write more. I also hate the DH.

Elite Eight: McDonalds vs. Cookout, In & Out vs. Culver's, Bojangles vs. Taco Bell, and Arby's vs. Jimmy John's.

Final Four: McDonalds vs. Culver's and Bojangles vs. Arby's.

Finals: Culver's vs. Bojangles.

Winner: Bojangles.
I love Culvers. Especially their fish sandwiches, they put a huge filet on them.

Used too. Female in careers amirite guys?

Just ate at Krystal. Gotta say - with the exception of the cashier standing at the register coughing and hacking into her hand - it was pretty good.

And my guts are already bubbling.

I’m just trying to comprehend how someone can describe Cookout as “slightly better than microwave dinners,” but then go on to refer to any Krystal experience as “pretty good.”
