I had on the SEC network while working at home last night and they were talking about the Vandy and Tennessee game. One of the lady commentators was saying what a great effort it was for Vandy and really pumping them up and saying what a great upset win it was for them. Andy Landers did not pull any punches. He said that no one should be surprised and that Tennessee has looked lost all year. He was very critical of Holly and that was refreshing to see. I think he might have a pretty good idea what a Lady Vol basketball team is supposed to look like.
Didn't Landers coach in the SEC against Summit?

Have u ever played for a coach who has no clue and it has become painfully obvious to the players? I have once. A winning coach can instill these qualities in these players we currently have, I believe..
Most of these girls were All Americans and want to win. Just too early to write them off under the circumstances they have been made to endure. What are they supposed to do when their coach repeatedly says she has no answers..
Maybe some of them are also wanting a new coach----just a thought.
All of this is very possible.

Well, their actions sure do not point in the direction of wanting to win. They look like they could care less. I’m sure part of that has to do with who is leading them, but great athletes want to win no matter who their leader is.

Great athletes...like me and you?

Does losing in OT only count as half an L or something?
No smartass...it adds valuable context..While a loss is a loss, there is a big difference in how the teams performance in those games is perceived when that context is added. Yes Kansas beat us, but they barely beat us..at home..in overtime..with considerable help from the Zebras...Same goes for LSU game. So it is clear that despite the fact that we did indeed lose, you can also infer from those facts that both teams were fortunate to beat us..

In other words, we didn't really play a bad ball game in either game. Which means the team is not in as bad a shape as some of the heralds of doom here would have you believe...

Now if we had been destroyed in those games...🤔

Braves have spent 29 million. There is no excuse for this. They haven't tried to get better. The division rivals are trying to win the WS. I'm fed up. Really wish MLB would expand and TN would get a team owned by an egotistical billionaire. It's frustrating rooting for a media conglomerate that cares more about real estate than winning.
With our luck it would be the HoH..and we would get a crapfest like the Browns..

I never cared if they signed Harper or Machado. My problem is that they haven't done anything! 29 million is it and they are under their payroll from last year! They haven't added a starter for the rotation, they haven't added a piece to the bullpen, and you can argue that they are worse at RF and at catcher in the lineup. Meanwhile the rest of the division did this:

There were many moves the Braves could have made. But they decided to shop at the Walmart bargain bin.

Sounds like the way the Vols have been run for a long time..

None of em will win a World Series. Build your core roster (including pitching) through your farm system and finish with smart free agent pickups...not gut money blood sacrifices. Pay to keep your Acuna’s and Trouts. Harper’s another Mark Teixeira.
Harper is a lot better investment than Teixeira I think, but still I agree with your basic premise that spending stupidly never really works out.
