The parallels.....

Football....several years ago, we knocked LSU’s quarterback out of the game and they kept running the quarterback off tackle and we never stopped it. I beleive this game started the beginning of the end for CF.

Basketball.....yesterday, Waters is out and their backup point guard kept driving right to the basket and we never stopped it.

Again, I think if we would have used the zone just a little (like we did in the first half), we win the game.

This! I was begging for the zone the last 10 minutes of the game. They were living off of driving the ball and if we did move our feet and defend they were bailed out by the whistle. The fact that we let that point guard drive to his right the whole game blew my mind. I think the zone would have slowed that down and kept them off the line. They did not look good and never got the ball inside when we went zone early.

I was yelling at the TV for Barnes to go back to the zone in the second half, but he never heard me. Head scratcher for sure, since it was so effective in the first half.

Agree. I thought it was the worst mentally played game of the season by many of the players and CRB. None of it made sense, especially the second half. But it sounds like CRB is hearing us from his responses. Hope the players do as well. They are not expected to win every game. But if you lose, don't lose because you made terrible errors in judgment throughout the whole game.

A special call out to Kyle Alexander. Play like you are 6'10" and not like you are 6'2". You are an elite shot blocker. Play like it and block the shots when they drive the lane. If you miss it, at least they will have altered their shot. If they dump it off, depend on the others to roll over to defend your assigned player. That's their responsibility. You knew Bone had 4 fouls and was sick. You knew Turner lacked quickness to shut it down without help. You only did it one time out of a half dozen times at the end of that game and made Smart look like an NBA All Star. You are a senior - step up.

I think Barnes maybe trying to save the zone for the tourney and not use it as much now. Or it could be CRB thinks we will rebound in the man better than the zone

Talking legal here. That's advertised and can buy a truck bed filled spilling over with it, because it's not restricted in any way how much you can purchase. No telling how many people have alcohol poisoning or health related deaths from it. But it's legal tho...
No worse than people giving themselves heart disease and/or diabetes because they eat too much fried crap and drink soda all the time.

The key to all of those things is just moderation and self control.

I just hate it when folks get all hopped up on Dr Pepper and fried chicken and then hurt people with their automobiles.

SIAP..

TENNESSEE WILL DO IN-STATE DAMAGE
Out of Tennessee's 23 signees in 2019, only four came from its home state. Look for the Vols to do much more damage in their backyard in 2020. Tyler Baron, Bryson Eason and Reggie Grimes are among the more than 20 in-state prospects that have received an offer from Jeremy Pruitt's program so far in this recruiting cycle.

Who do the Volunteers have the best shot at landing this cycle? Things look good right now with Baron, Chris Morris, Cooper Mays, Omari Thomas and Jay Hardy. Tee Hodge and Jabari Small could also be considered early Tennessee leans.

In the end, the Volunteers will sign more home-state talent in 2020 than they did in 2019.
